Hola chicas de Hive, no quiero dejar pasar la oportunidad de participar en en concurso Ladies of Hive #87, ya que me han parecido sumamente interesantes y devertidas las preguntas de esta semana, estas son ¿qué criatura mítica te gustaría que existiera? y ¿qué extraña combinación de comida disfrutas comer?.
¿Qué criatura mítica te gustaría que existiera?
Si no tuviese que elegir una sola criatura mítica daría una larga lista de criaturas que me gustaría que existieran, me encanta imaginar un mundo de fantasía y misterios, y es que desde niños estamos viendo seres esta índole en películas, videojuegos, libros tales como las sirenas, los centauros los grifos, las gárgolas , la Gorgona, la hidra, las harpías. Me llama la atención en especial el Kraken, un calamar gigante de la mitología escandinava que arrasaba con los navíos. Según Wikipedia los primeros textos que los describen son textos noruegos que datan del año 1250, siglos más tarde para 1700 serían registrados como cefalópodos, los cuales según aquellos textos realmente no representaban una amenaza por si mismos , sino que era el remolino que creaban al sumergirse que arrastraba los barcos hacia el fondo del mar.
En los últimos dos siglos se han descubierto calamares sumamente grandes su nombre cientifico es Architeuthis , los cuales llegan a medir hasta 14 metros; habitan las profundidades de los océanos y estos pueden ser el origen de este ser mitológico, aunque dudo que estos calamares gigantes atacasen barcos y pudiesen destruirlos. Se dice que algunos de los hundimientos pudieron deberse a actividades volcánicas, que semejaban al kraken con áreas burbujeantes corrientes de agua peligrosas e islotes que emergían hacia la superficie, algo que tiene sentido si consideramos las descripciones de antiguos textos que decian que el Kraken media 2,5 km.
Me encanta cuando la mitología se superpone con la realidad, cuando existe una pequeña posibilidad de que aquel ser realmente haya existido o exista, por eso el Kraken es mi favorito.
¿Qué extraña combinación de comida disfrutas comer?
No creo que me gusten combinaciones de comidas muy extrañas, las comidas que disfruta no son nada fuera de lo común. Pero si ha de gustarme algo que puede ser considerado extraño o diferente por otras personas, lo supongo por una vez una persona se sorprendió por ello y dijo que le daba asco, es la mantequilla de maní con bocadillo (dulce de guayaba), probablemente, en realidad a mí no me parece tan extraña combinación. Me gusta esta combinación porque la primera vez que lo probé me supo al relleno de los chocolates Snickers, es sumamente parecido. Y ya que el chocolate Snickers es tan costo, pues nada mejor que simular su sabor con un poco de mantequilla de maní y dulce de guayaba.

What mythical creature would you like to see exist?
If I did not have to choose a single mythical creature I would give a long list of creatures that I would like to exist, I love to imagine a world of fantasy and mysteries, and is that since childhood we are seeing beings of this nature in movies, video games, books such as mermaids, centaurs, griffins, gargoyles, the Gorgon, the hydra, the harpies. My attention is especially drawn to the Kraken, a giant squid from Scandinavian mythology that ravaged ships. According to Wikipedia the first texts describing them are Norwegian texts dating back to 1250, centuries later by 1700 they would be registered as cephalopods, which according to those texts did not really represent a threat by themselves, but it was the whirlpool they created when submerged that dragged ships to the bottom of the sea.

I don't think I like very strange food combinations,the foods I enjoy are nothing out of the ordinary. But if I have to like something that might be considered strange or different by other people, I guess because one time a person was surprised by it and said it was disgusting, it's peanut butter with guava candy, probably, actually it doesn't seem that strange a combination to me. I like this combination because the first time I tasted it, it tasted like the filling of Snickers chocolates, it is extremely similar. And since Snickers chocolate is so expensive, there is nothing better than simulating its flavor with a little peanut butter and guava candy.

Hola saludos fraternos. La verdad no puedo decir que es una comida extraña porque ni siquiera he probado la mantequilla de maní, de hecho ni siquiera la conozco. Eso del calamar gigante lo conozco por la película Los Piratas del Caribe.
Hola amiga, bueno si , no es comun ver la mantequilla de maní por aqui, en un tiempo se conseguia más facil, ahorita solo se consigue en algunos supermercados, es como comer papilla de mani pero dulce, no es ni tan bueno, ni malo, pero es interesante probarlo. Me gusta muchísimo tu post y la forma tan apasionada en que hablas sobre tu animal mitológico favorito, aunque a mí sí que da mucho miedo el Craken, y ni se diga a mi hermana que es talasofóbica y por ende le aterra el fondo del mar y cualquier criaturagigante que pueda vivir debajo de él.
En cuanto a tu combinación "extraña" yo tampoco la encuentro como tal, sino más bien interesante, me gustaría probarla.

Excelente Mairene, espero leer tu participación, bueno a mi tambien me aterra el oceano, y más que no sé nadar jaja. SI es verdad no es una combinación tan extraña, pero no sé si alguien la haya hecho y le guste, es inusual más bien. pero sabe muy bien, tal cual el relleno del snickers hehe y tiene sentido si el dulce del snickers lleva mani y otros azucares. The most exciting about the Kraken is that is almost real hehe. oh but it's no the snickers with peanut butter, is the peanut butter with Guava candy that taste to snickers.
