Hello friends of Hive, today I bring you a new cover, this time " Still Waiting " by Sum 41, one of my favorite bands, whose sound is difficult to categorize, because although at first they were a punk or pop punk band, then their sound acquired a notable influence of Heavy Metal, something mainly driven by their guitarist Dave "Brownsound".

Hola amigos de Hive, hoy les traigo un nuevo cover, en esta ocasión “ Still Waiting “ de Sum 41, una de mis bandas favoritas, cuyo sonido es difícil de categorizar, pues aunque en un principio era una banda punk o pop punk, luego su sonido de adquirió una notable influencia del Heavy Metal, algo impulsado principalmente por su guitarrista Dave "Brownsound".

All killer no Filler, is an album that has a pretty punk sound and its lyrics connect very well with the teenage audience, it makes reference to existential problems, problems that many teenagers face, parties, romances, problems with parents etc. Standout tracks include Fat Lip, In Too Deep, and one of my favorites, Nothing on my Back.

All killer no Filler, es una disco que tiene un sonido bastante punk y sus letras conectan muy bien con la audiencia adolescente, hace referencia a problemas existenciales, problemas a los que se enfrentan muchos adolescentes, fiestas, romances, problemas con los padres etc. Destacan temas como Fat Lip, In Too Deep, y uno de mis favoritos, Nothing on my Back.

On the other hand Does this Look Infected, is an album with a more heavy metal sound, its lyrics focus on social problems, on how we face them, on what we have to face every day, the things we are not willing to tolerate. From this album I love all the songs if I tell you that one of the songs is my favorite I would be lying, but here we can hear songs like The Hell Song, Over my Head, Still Waiting, No Brains, All Messed Up, and Mr. Amsterdam.

Por otro lado Does this Look Infected, es un disco con un sonido más heavy metal, sus letras se enfocan en problemas sociales, en como los enfrentamos, en lo que debemos enfrentar cada día, las cosas que no estamos dispuestos a tolerar. De este disco me encantan todos los temas si les digo que uno de los temas es mi favorito estaría mintiendo, pero aquí podemos oir temas como The Hell Song, Over my Head, Still Waiting , No Brains, All Messed Up , y Mr. Amsterdam.

And finally Chuck, this album is incredible, a masterpiece of heavy metal, it is an album in which they leave aside the punk sound almost completely, it is extremely aggressive, with very deep lyrics, the guitar goes in a lower tuning so its sound is more serious. In the same way I love the whole album, if I can highlight some songs they can be We are all to blame and The bitter End.

Y finalmente Chuck, este disco es increíble, una obra maestra del Heavy metal, es un disco en el que dejan a un lado el sonido punk casi completamente, es sumamente agresivo, con letras muy profundas, la guitarra va en una afinación más baja por lo que su sonido es más grave. De igual forma me encanta todo el disco, si puedo destacar algunos temas pueden ser We are all to blame y The bitter End.

When their guitarist Dave left the band, their sound lost the metal touch, and I stopped listening to the band, I definitely didn't like what I heard and for years I didn't pay attention anymore, until a couple of years ago when Dave came back to the band and brought back, the characteristic sound of Sum41.

Now the song I have played is Still Waiting, a very energetic song, which became very popular with its music video, I remember that when I saw this video, I was surprised how the band could play so wildly, jumping so much, of course live they don't play like that because it would be quite complicated for them, but as it is a music video, they can afford those movements.

Ahora bien el tema que he tocado es Still Waiting, una tema muy enérgico, que se hizo muy popular con su video musical, recuerdo que cuando veía este video, me sorprendía como la banda podía tocar tan alocadamente, dando tantos saltos, por supuesto en vivo no tocan asi pues sería bastante complicado para ellos, pero como es un video musical , se pueden permitir esos movimientos.
