This time, the long journey began, with a super busy morning taking care of many things, especially because my wife was too lazy to cook. He asked to eat outside the house and at a place we had never been before.

Of course, obeying all your wife's wishes is a good thing, because it makes her heart better. The difference is, today because of one thing, he really wants to eat at a vegan restaurant that is going viral in this city, maybe some people know this famous vegan restaurant; Vegan Socrates.

Located on Jalan Airlangga, precisely in the middle of the city, one of the quiet streets that I thought was like being in Bali. Yes, I once went on holiday to Bali, and this reminded me of a road there that was similar to Jl Airlangga. the vibes as if I were in Bali reminded me of a beautiful memory at that time. But, of course I also can't wait to enjoy the food at this vegan restaurant.

We ordered 2 menus which seemed to be very favorites here, there are so many menus for sale and they are all in the menu book. To my surprise, all the food here is made from plants and from nature, none of the food is made from animals. Vegan Socrates is also strict about the rules they make themselves, especially for customers who come to ensure that they do not bring food that contains animal elements. So, don't ever think about bringing your lunch to eat here.

Even more surprised, I confirmed that the price of food in this restaurant was very cheap, in fact I was not sure whether they made a big profit from making this beautiful restaurant. The architecture is very strong, you won't regret coming to this restaurant, it's so comfortable and feels like home. The food sold ranges from 20,000 to 45,000 rupiah, but the portions are large enough to eat alone.

Likewise, I ordered wet kwetiaw, similar to capcay full of vegetables, and the broth tasted like well-cooked mushroom broth. I thought they used oyster sauce or other animal ingredients, but they ensure that 100% of the food here is made from plants and non-animal. They're not going to cheat on that.

Apart from wet kwetiaw, my wife ordered a rice bowl which was similar to a chicken rice bowl, but it turned out to be only visually similar, when you eat it you will be reminded of tofu with a barbecue taste, fried in flour in a deep fry, like flour fried chicken. Then add teriyaki sauce on top and some chopped vegetables which will add good fiber.

Of the two menus we chose, I thought there were many other interesting menus, but both were good enough for the two of us, the taste was undeniable, very tasty and fresh. Serving is also quite fast from the time of order, waiting around 15 minutes at most. Truly love the delicious rice bowl, the rice is still very hot and the filling looks like it has just been fried and served.

I think anyone who wants to experience the sensation of vegan food can go to this restaurant; Socrates Vegan is a different restaurant, in terms of food, drinks and experience. So, visit here occasionally and you can enjoy something different.
