Playing with sand is something that children enjoy, they will build a sand kingdom with several molds and buckets for playing. The place where is a lot of sand is the edge of the beach, especially the fine white sand, the crash waves and the hot sun will be your friend to play on the beach. That is why the beach is one of the place that people really like to come, to take a break from busy activities such as work and school.

Yesterday, I promised to take my nephew to a place with lots of sand, namely the beach. We had promised several weeks ago, but unfortunately we couldn't go because the weather was a little bad for playing on the beach, it rained very often, even every day, so we avoided playing on the beach for the next while. But, it turns out there is a beach close to the middle of the city, what is that?

Tenank Café, is a café that is unique and different from the others, this café will bring the beach to the center of the city, enjoying the white sand and the vibes and ambiance like on the beach. If you often go to the beach and like sitting in a beachside café, it feels the same, Tenank Café brings extraordinary ambiance to enjoy your short vacation.

This place is very special, especially in terms of service, vibes and menu (food and beverages), which is what makes this café never empty of visitors. Open every weekend and holidays, it has something different from other places I've visited. When you enter from the main door, you will see that this place is surrounded by trees, shady and beautiful. In front, there is also a small boat that has been used as a welcome monument to welcome guests well.

There are several hangers made of woven bamboo and rattan, hung as decoration so that the beach vibe feels thicker. The wickerwork looked very dirty, perhaps because this place had been around for a long time and was constantly visited by many people.

This main door also welcomes us with a variety of food, all of the menu is Indonesian cuisine, there are even some authentic local foods from several cultures. Sells several appetizers, main courses and desserts. I saw several main courses that I really liked, such as vegetable pecel, chicken curry, gudeg and many more neatly lined up on the table, then saw several local desserts such as putu ayu, bingkang, lemet, putu bamboo, onde-onde and many others. I think this is like a paradise of local Indonesian food.

After buying some food, I went to the kids' favorite place here, namely the sand pool which is full of sand and also some accessories that you usually find on the beach. See there are several swings and an arrangement of surf boards that are full of color. Of course, surf boards cannot be used here, only as decoration to make this place look like a beach. I'm sure many parents let their children play without fear of drowning.

Then there are several huts that look like space cafés on the beach, made from bamboo and roofs made from dried coconut leaves with the words 'Tenank' written in blue font. There are also several lights that might illuminate it at night, because this café is open until 10.00 pm. Several coconut trees were also planted at several points to give the impression of a deeper beach.

One of the spots that I like is the second floor where there are several chairs and tables and a long blue cloth tied to strong wood, waving in the blowing wind. It's really charming and looks beautiful from where I took this photo.

As for the indoor area where there are only a few tables and chairs, I don't think this will be the right option if the weather is good, because I really like the outdoor atmosphere even the sun is hot, because I came here to get a beach like feel. Even though this is not a real beach, it is worth trying.

This toilet is also really unique, made from several pieces of wood, however the concept is even more interesting because usually the toilets on the beach are made very simply like this. The natural elements make this café truly like its name, Tenank (read in English; Relax).
