I'm Back Again with the Condition of My Hydroponic Garden in Early November

Desain tanpa judul (2).jpg

Hello Gardeners
How are you today ? I hope and pray that we are all always given health and happiness in living this life. I am so happy, finally after more than 35 days since I kept my last hydroponics journal. I can participate and contribute again to the HiveGarden Community. I apologize, because I am busy running my business which is trying to get up and survive. I don't have enough time to write down my activities in my hydroponic garden.

Even though I am busy managing my urban farming shop. I still carry out hydroponic gardening activities consistently. My father and my wife helped me to manage our hydroponic garden and we got a very good harvest last October.

Cumulatively, I got 60 kilograms of fresh lettuce and 20 kilograms of kangkong which I was able to harvest last October. I earned about 150 USD for all the vegetables in the last hydroponic garden. The conditions are very happy for us. So, what about this November? I will invite friends to see the condition of my hydroponic garden this November.

Condition of Lettuce in My Hydroponic Garden
Since the last three months, I have only focused on three vegetables or plants in my hydroponic garden, namely lettuce, kangkong and mint leaves. In general, my hydroponic garden has become a lettuce garden, because I can plant more than 1200 pots of lettuce in the hydroponic garden.

Lettuce is the best choice for me to plant in my hydroponic garden. Lettuce is very adaptable and has many advantages for being grown using a hydroponic system. As long as I grow lettuce hydroponically, I have never found lettuce damaged by pests. Therefore, since the last three months. Lettuce is the vegetable that I grow most in my hydroponic garden.

Since ten days ago, I have sown around 850 lettuce seeds to be planted in my hydroponic garden. I choose high quality seeds to get optimal sowing results. The lettuce seeds that I sowed grew very well and to my satisfaction, and the growth capacity was almost 100%.

Last Tuesday, I immediately moved the lettuce seeds that I had sown into my hydroponic growing medium. I did it with the help of my sister, because this work had to be ready on the same day. The process of transferring seeds is very important because at this moment we have to create the best conditions for our vegetables.

During this planting period, I used hydroponic liquid fertilizer with a concentration of around 600-800 ppm. This concentration is in accordance with the standards from various literature that I read about the nutritional needs of various types of vegetables in hydroponic systems. I have a target to get at least 70 kilos of lettuce from this planting period.

For maintenance, I spray regularly every afternoon. I spray hydroponic liquid fertilizer on the seeds to optimize the absorption of nutrients needed by the vegetables being planted. I hope next week I can see the development again.

Condition of Kangkong in My Hydroponic Garden
Just like lettuce, kangkong is also my favorite vegetable to grow in my hydroponic garden. Kangkong as an agricultural plant has advantages, such as being easy to plant, simple to care for, and minimal pest attacks. However, as an agricultural product, kangkong does not have a high selling price.

I also transferred kangkong seeds to my hydroponic growing medium. Previously, I had sown around 1900 kangkong seeds and I divided them into 300 net pots in my hydroponic media. The kangkong seeds that I sowed also grew very well and had uniform growth.

Last Wednesday, I transferred all my kangkong seeds to hydroponic media in my hydroponic garden. During this planting period, I used hydroponic liquid fertilizer with a concentration of around 1000 ppm. The concentration of this liquid fertilizer is in accordance with hydroponic standards and literature.

I also spray every afternoon today. I use liquid fertilizer for the water base in the spray that I use. In my experience, this way makes vegetables grow more optimally.

Condition of Mint Leaves in My Hydroponic Garden
Lastly, I will invite my friends to see the condition of the mint leaves in my hydroponic garden. Mint is the most profitable plant in my hydroponic garden. I have gained a lot of benefits since I planted this mint several years ago.

Unfortunately, as an ordinary human being, I can be too greedy and cause the mint leaves in my hydroponic garden to become damaged due to being harvested too often. Therefore, during this planting period, I rejuvenated the mint leaves in my hydroponic installation.

I sowed using the stem cuttings method. I have prepared around 80 mint leaves which I sowed in rockwool and will replace all the empty holes in my hydroponic installation. OK, that's it for my hydroponic journal this week. See you next time and hopefully I can be consistent.

That's incredible news @isdarmady , two of your plants are actually my favorites. It's been a new year, but my dream of trying to make a hydrophonic garden has not come true yet. It seems like it will be difficult for me to accomplish because apart from being busy, I don't have the right time to focus on that type of gardening. 😭

hello @luckylaica thank you for stopping by and I really understand that, our busy work or life often limits our desires. I also experienced something like that, I was too busy working and didn't have time to share stories and posts in this community.
