Garden Journal : Big Changes
Now I have to do something. There are many big changes that happened during May in my garden. It was because there were many things that kept going by and I forgot some things, so my garden is now increasingly overflowing with things that I have to let go of.
You know that I have two hydroponic installations right in front of my fence, there are 2 hydroponic installations with a water channel system. Usually I plant mint leaves and they grow thickly. Mint leaves are a favorite of many people, because they are fresh and grow well, so no one will refuse them.
But, unfortunately there are too many and sometimes they become very dense, even very disturbing if they grow thickly but I don't harvest them. So, I decided to make it into just one installation. Another installation will be taken by a friend, he is interested in taking the installation and pays half the price.
Of course I didn't use up all the mint leaves, some I replanted with a stem grafting system. I have discussed this before, because mint leaves are very easy to root if the stems are planted properly. I got a lot of results from the stem grafting. It grew well and even the roots are very strong.
There are some left in this seedling tray. I'm waiting for my friend to take all these mint stem cuttings for free. Do any of you want to? You just need to come to my house and I guarantee this will work to harvest mint leaves at home.
In addition, I also made a new shelf for some orchids which is finally finished. This project was completed after 6 months of planning. That was because my mother was starting to get angry, she was very sad that her orchids did not have a good place to grow. So, I had to do it so that she would not be sad anymore.
The shelf I made with light steel, then used the remaining plywood from making the shelf to put all the fertilizer, compost, and also the planting media that became our stock.
Honestly, it is not easy to have a garden, but, when you have determination then you will be able to handle everything well, even though it takes a long time.
