There is a saying that life is the best movie. All events and life journeys that we live in this life are full of various scenarios. As we all know, in a film to create a situation that fits the scene, it takes scoring music or background music. The presence of background music makes the scene or film scenario more felt by the audience.

Music is an art that depicts beauty through sound (either song or instrumental). Like movies, our lives also need music to represent our feelings and the condition of our souls. Music is also one of the basic human needs. When relaxing, working, sleeping, even going to the bathroom, and we need music to take a shower or go to the toilet (including me). It sounded strange, but that was the current state of affairs.

As a teenager, of course we have also experienced heartbreak. Often times to deepen the situation, we hear heartbroken songs. Likewise, when we are in love with someone, maybe almost every day, we will listen to various love songs and make our hearts happy. I have a song that I listen to a lot and it's always on my playlist. Of course, it's not a love song. I have one song that I listen to a lot. This song is one of the songs that becomes my mandatory playlist, especially when I need enthusiasm and lack of motivation, it's Eye Of The Tiger from Survivor.

I'm trying to remember when I first heard this song. Finally, I opened my old blog, which I managed when I was in college in 2008. I was feeling really depressed at that time. At the end of my college, I experienced a lot of problems, at that time the research I did for my thesis failed and I had to do it again. It takes a lot of time, when my research and final project failed and left me with no enthusiasm for life. I tried to search on google about songs that can increase the spirit of life, and I tried to listen to some songs but this song stuck in my ears to this day.

This song has a typical 80's rock rhythm, drum beats, guitar strains and a shrill vocalist voice make this song very enjoyable for young people like me. At that time, I was at the crossroads to reach maturity.

Every time I listen to this song I feel like running, moving my body, jumping and even I want to hit the wall, I will do anything because this song really lifts my spirits. Several times, when I feel nervous, like I will play this song especially when I will be dealing with other people, such as explaining a project or interview. I also play this song over and over again when I am going to do the marriage contract with my wife. I became very comfortable and at ease at that sacred event.

I started trying to understand from every lyric in this song, I also translated what the content of this song was and it turned out that the message that this song wanted to convey was very good. One of my favorite lyrics in this song is :

Every human being must have guts in his life. Big guts and good thinking skills will make us achieve success. The use of the term "eye of the tiger" can be interpreted as a way for us not to be afraid of any problems and obstacles that confront us. Like a tiger, who never seemed afraid of anyone who looked at him. I also want to bring out My Eye of The Tiger to deal with the problem I'm having.

History of this song

This song is the Original Soundtradk of the famous film, Rocky III. For a fan of movies or updates to pop culture, we certainly know who Rocky Balboa is, a fictional character who has graced the big screen since the 1976s. So far, there have been six sequels to this film and I've seen them all.

Many people think, Rocky is a bad film that sells the best in history. I don't completely agree, some rocky movies are weird and ugly like Rocky II and Rocky IV. However, if you watch Rocky III, I understand why “Eye of The Tiger” is the original soundtrack for this song. From my observations, in that film, Rocky lost his hunger for titles and wins, it was because he was already at the peak of his glory and did not find new challenges, until Mr T came who wanted to fight him.

I was born in 1990, and this song was released in 1982, before I was born on earth. I also heard this song, before I watched the movie Rocky III. To this day, I'm sure that many people listen to this song to lift their spirits as much as I do. That is a sign that the greatest song will always be heard by humans throughout the ages. Thank you.
