The courage to be happy

The best example I had in my life is my father, who dedicated himself to making musical instruments, he managed to be well recognized but he had no money, he only had enough to live with dignity, but he was happy doing what he was passionate about, he was free , he did not owe money to anyone, he obviously paid his taxes, but everything he had done had been achieved thanks to his courage to follow his passion while being free, but to get to do that I had to endure many years at the beginning being a person who He worked for others, thus gathering the courage and the foundation of his first investment of materials to start and follow through with his dream, even when the world was against him, he charted his own path to freedom and happiness. This is what Thucydides' phrase “The secret to happiness is freedom... And the secret to freedom is courage." means to me, a phrase that @galenkp kindly shares with us in Weekend-Engagement writing topics: WEEK 161😊
A very wise reflection dear @irenenavarroart. You have to be smart to make the best play with the cards you have and if the game stalls you'll have to get the courage to make other decisions. Be fine. A big hug from Maracay.
Thank you very much for the comment, indeed it is better to play with the cards that we are dealt and do the best possible to feel freedom and happiness 😊
I really liked this...all of your post to be honest, but this is gold, and well put.
I'm glad you read my post, I thought hardly anyone would, I appreciate the opportunities to write my reflections, thanks for making me think about the meaning of the quote 🖤🤗
It was a worthy read and I liked it very much.
I loved your post @irenenavarroart it is very true we live in a society that somehow determines life, you have to do what we are passionate about even if it means paying the price.
Thank you very much for reading my post, we have to have courage to decide to follow the passion and be happy. HUGS 🤗
As long as I have the right to make my own decisions, I am free. Mostly, I make decisions that are convenient, which means I choose to conform to societal norms imposed on me. However, it is still a choice I made.
There are extreme cases in which people are left without options in the face of certain circumstances that are some of our ills as a society, but even so, you have to have courage to get a breath of freedom. Thanks for the comment 😊
Having passion for life and for ourselves within in it, will help us find more happiness I think. We all have bad things in our lives and good ones also, and both are required to carry us forward, one as motivation and another as a lesson, and if we listen to ourselves then apply some passion we will be in a better position to look upon our lives with contentment, and be happier with its journey.
