Gamaken Amigurumi (Esp/Eng)
Saludos , estoy muy feliz de volver a publicar luego de unos días en ausencia debido a problemas con mi computadora, lamento mucho no haber sido participante del pasado concurso de esta comunidad, sin embargo a pesar de no tener computadora para publicar estuve trabajando arduamente en el proyecto que les presento hoy, esto tomó mucho tiempo, fueron dos semana trabajo y luego por problemas de salud se me dificultó mucha la labor, pero estoy muy entusiasmada de compartir el resultado finalmente.

Este amigurumi estaba en mi cabeza desde hace unos meses, pero me frustraba mucho no poder encontrar el color que fuera acorde a la figura, resulta ser que este personaje en la serie animada japonesa como en las múltiples imágenes que encontraba tenía un color diferente, en la descripción de algunas páginas web se decía que su piel era roja con unas rayas negras, pero en muchas imágenes la piel parecía fucsia y en otras parecía rojo oscuro o incluso se veía un poco violeta, creo que es difícil encontrar un color que sea asemeje de verdad al real, pero afortunadamente un día que fui a comprar hilo hace aproximadamente seis meses encontré un ovillo de 40 gramos de hilo acrílico de un color vinotinto bastante similar, así que sin duda o compré pero paso mucho tiempo antes de que decidiera comenzar el proyecto.

Mi lucha contra la fobia / My fight against phobia
No se trata de un tutorial, a pesar de que más adelante diré de modo general el proceso de realización, mi intención es hablarles de mi experiencia , mis dificultades en el proceso y sobre todo mi motivación, les cuento que este proyecto representó muchos retos a nivel personal, puesto que yo le tengo fobia a los sapos, aunque tolero ver sapitos animados cuando se ven un poco realistas me dan repulsión, por eso este amigurumi es como llevarle la contraria a mi mente y subir un nivel mas en la forma en que enfrento dicha fobia. Hubo un punto en el que me encontraba cosiendo las extremidades del sapo Gamaken que me sentí mal porque en realidad parecían patas de sapo, fue un poco traumático pero todo estaba en mi mente.
It is not a tutorial, although later I will say in a general way the process of realization, my intention is to tell you about my experience, my difficulties in the process and above all my motivation, I tell you that this project represented many challenges to personal level, since I have a phobia of toads, although I tolerate seeing animated toads when they look a bit realistic they disgust me, that's why this amigurumi is like taking the opposite of my mind and going up one more level in the way that I face said phobia. There was a point where I was sewing the limbs of the Gamaken toad that I felt bad because they actually looked like toad legs, it was a bit traumatic but it was all on my mind.

Motivación por el personaje / Motivation towards the character
Gamaken es un personaje de Naruto que aparece en muy pocas oportunidades, este es un sapo ninja de gran tamaño, para mi es el sapo guerrero mas fuerte de todos los sapos de la montaña que son invocados por el personae Jiraiya (El sabio de los sapos) para luchar como compañeros, es precisamente en la última talla de Jiraiya en donde es invocado Gamaken, lo cual dice mucho de su habilidad para el combate cuerpo a cuerpo, este tiene una gran arma con púas y un escudo, tiene un fuerza muy grande pero lamentablemente el enemigo a quien se enfrentan era tan fuerte que ni el mismo Gamaken pudo evitar la muerte de Jiraiya, lo que me atrajo más hacia este personaje es que aun siendo un sapo súper fuerte es un pesimista por naturaleza y con autoestima muy baja, él en la batalla se culpa a sí mismo cuando los ataques enemigos alcanzan a Jiraiya, se disculpa a cada momento y le dice “Es que soy muy torpe”, esto me enterneció mucho, ver como una sapo tan genial se disculpa a cada momento por lo que él considera su torpesa, se que se trata de un personaje ficticio pero en mi corazón y mi mente sentía ganas de abrazarlo y decirle que no era torpe para nada, que lo que sucedía es que estaba enfrentando a un enemigo demasiado fuerte, pero que no era su culpa.
Me siento identificada por completo con este personaje, porque tengo muchas personas queridas a mi alrededor que viven diciéndome lo fuerte que he sido para enfrentar muchas adversidades, y a pesar de que tal como Gamaken he dado lo mejor de mí, siento que “soy muy torpe” aunque haga las cosas bien, este pesimismo que está en desacorde con su el alto rendimiento en Gamaken es un poco de cómo es mi personalidad y por ello este personaje me motivó desde el primer día que lo conocí.

I feel completely identified with this character, because I have many dear people around me who live telling me how strong I have been to face many adversities, and despite the fact that just like Gamaken I have given my best, I feel that “I am very clumsy "Even if he does things well, this pessimism that is at odds with his high performance at Gamaken is a bit of what my personality is like and that is why this character motivated me from the first day I met him.

Proceso / Process
Ahora explicaré un poco el proceso que realicé para tejer el amigurumi Gamaken, comencé por los pies, en primer lugar por los dedos, separadamente cada uno tiene una franja de color negro, tejer solo 4 puntos en forma tubular a esta escala es difícil , imagínense tener que sumarle otro color en el proceso, una vez tejí los dedos los uní para ir tejiendo el pie cuyo empeine es negro al darse continuidad a la franja de color negro en los dedos, asimismo tejer el talón siempre es un poco incomodo.
Now I will explain a little the process that I carried out to knit the Gamaken amigurumi, I started with the feet, first of all with the fingers, separately each one has a black stripe, knitting only 4 stitches in a tubular shape at this scale is difficult, imagine having to add another color to it in the process, once I wove the toes I joined them to knit the foot whose instep is black as the black stripe on the toes continues, also knitting the heel is always a bit uncomfortable.
Piernas / Legs
Las piernas debían ser un poco flexionadas, como siempre digo todo proceso tiene niveles y este nivel lo superé gracias a tejer la figura de Xenomorfo hace mucho tiempo, de esa forma aprendí a comenzar tejiendo la rodilla, este personaje continua con su franja negra por toda la pierna , entonces desde la rodilla tuve que calcular en ancho de la franja acorde a la franja negra del pie, entonces hice el circulo de la rodilla, luego tomé la mitad de los puntos para tejer la pantorrilla haciendo los aumentos correspondientes al músculo y luego de eso tomé el resto de los puntos para tener el muslo, con los aumentos suficientes para hacer el musculo femoral, esto me tomó dos días, en uno hice los pies y al otro día hice las piernas.

Brazos / Arms
Comencé por las manos, primero los dedos igualmente que el pie con su respectiva franja negra, las manos a diferencia de los pies tienen con cinco dedos, pero estos son más largos para poder sujetar el arma y el escudo, los brazos los tejí igualmente comenzando por el codo y luego haciendo el antebrazo y luego el bíceps. Hice las manos en un día y al otro día hice los brazos, tejer cosas así de pequeñas a veces tarda más tiempo que tejer algo grande.

Cuerpo / Body
Aunque pueden creer que el cuerpo iba a ser fácil este fue el que más me costó hacer, porque no es una esfera grade, el cuerpo debía tener una especie de inclinación que hiciera parecer a la espalda más ancha pero que diera lugar para la cabeza un poco más adelante, es decir, el cuerpo no era una esfera debajo de la cabeza, por lo que lo hice en dos intentos, el primero fue un fracaso, el segundo aunque cumplió con las expectativas resto ser un poco alto para la proporción de las piernas, sin embargo con la ropa y las demás detalles de la figura esto no necesariamente es algo de qué preocuparse, aunque el primer día la pase mal al tener que deshacer lo que había hecho ya para el segundo día pude terminar el cuerpo.

Cabeza / Head
Experiencias anteriores que me han permitido abordar diferentes formas diferentes a la esfera, en este caso la cabeza es un poco achatada y ancha, por lo que comencé de forma similar a la cabeza del cerdito que compartí hace un tiempo, sin embargo, la cabeza del sapo tiene menos rondas por lo que es menos alta con respecto a su ancho, asimismo debí calcular la ubicación de los ojos para poder comenzar a hacer la franja negra de forma semicircular del rostro, por otro lado debía hacer un agüero para la boca a medida que iba avanzando, una vez logrado el objetivo tejí con hilo rosado la parte interior de la boca y lo cosí.
Previous experiences that have allowed me to approach different shapes other than the sphere, in this case the head is a bit flattened and wide, so I started in a similar way to the head of the pig that I shared a while ago, however, the head of the Toad has fewer rounds so it is less tall with respect to its width, I also had to calculate the location of the eyes to be able to start making the semicircular black stripe of the face, on the other hand I had to make an omen for the mouth as I was advancing, once I had achieved the objective, I wove the inside of the mouth with pink thread and sewed it.
Ojos / Eyes
Para los ojos tejí un círculo amarillo con un borde de color negro, los rellené y creé un espacio cóncavo para luego coser los ojos. Las cejas de Gamaken se prolongan hacia arriba como un especie de cuernos, por ello decidí tejer dos partes por separados con extremos puntiagudos y con dos curvas encontradas con la franja de color negro, rellené y la cosí en la parte de arriba de los ojos, luego bordé las pupilas con hilo de coser. Asimismo tejí un círculo amarillo claro para los oídos los cuales cosí a ambos lados de la cabeza.
For the eyes I wove a yellow circle with a black border, filled them in and created a concave space to later sew the eyes. Gamaken's eyebrows extend upwards like a kind of horns, so I decided to weave two parts separately with pointed ends and with two curves found with the black stripe, I filled it and sewed it on top of the eyes, then I embroidered the pupils with sewing thread. I also wove a light yellow circle for the ears which I sewed on both sides of the head.
Ensamblaje / Assembly
Vale la pena decir que coser los amigurumis es mi parte menos favorita, pero igualmente lo hago con mucho cuidado, en esta ocasión comencé uniendo los pies a las piernas y las manos a los brazos, luego de ello tuve introducir alambre por la piernas y atravesar el cuerpo con éste, dirigir el alambre es un poco complicado, pero lo que más me costó fue los brazos porque tuve que introducir alambre en cada dedo, para que estos pudieran doblarse y sujetar el arma y el escudo, es primera vez que hago que los dedos sean articulados, por lo que esto fue un nuevo aprendizaje que obtuve en este proyecto.
It is worth saying that sewing the amigurumis is my least favorite part, but I also do it very carefully, this time I started by joining the feet to the legs and the hands to the arms, after that I had to insert wire through the legs and cross the body with this one, directing the wire is a bit complicated, but what cost me the most was the arms because I had to insert wire in each finger, so that they could bend and hold the weapon and the shield, it is the first time that I have the fingers are articulated, so this was new learning I got from this project.
La ropa / Clothes
Para la camisa estilo japonés, tejí un triangulo comenzando con una puntada y haciendo un amento al inicio y al final de cada ronda, dejé un espacio a la altura de los hombros para tejer las mangas posteriormente, continué el triángulo hasta llegar a la altura de la cintura donde dejé de hace aumentos al inicio y al final, en su lugar hice tres aumentos por ronda ubicándolos de forma equidistante para hacer que la camisa se ensanchara. Levanté puntos en la circunferencia de los agujeros dejados anteriormente y tejí las mangas de la camisa, por ultimo tejí un borde de puntos deslizados en hilo blanco para el cuello de la camisa. Tanto para el cinturón como el arnés de la espalda tejí cadenas seguidas de tres rondas de puntos deslizados.

Mallas / Tights
Como dije anteriormente pareciera que todos los proyectos anteriores me estaban preparando para este momento, las mallas las hice forma similar a como hice las mallas para el amigurumi de Nina Hagen que hice hace un tiempo, en esta ocasión inicié con 20 cadenas y luego hice punto de malla, alternando 3 cadenas y un punto bajo por 9 en rondas para luego coser. Hice un borde de puntos deslizados de color negro en cada extremo.
As I said before it seems that all the previous projects were preparing me for this moment, the meshes were made in a similar way to how I made the meshes for Nina Hagen's amigurumi that I did a while ago, this time I started with 20 chains and then I knitted mesh, alternating 3 chains and a single crochet for 9 in rounds and then sew. I made a border of black slipped dots at each end.
Escudo / Shield
Para el escudo tejí con hilo beige 8 puntos en un anillo, alternando rondas de aumento con rondas sin aumentos, en la quinta ronda tejí solo la parte de atrás de las puntadas, continué normalmente hasta la ronda 13 y allí tome un alambre y lo fui colocando por detrás al tejer la última ronda.
For the shield I knitted with beige thread 8 points in a ring, alternating rounds of increase with rounds without increases, in the fifth round I knitted only the back of the stitches, I continued normally until round 13 and there I took a wire and I went laying from behind when knitting the last round.
Arma / Lance
La lanza de Gamaken se llama Sasumata, tiene forma de Y con púas, si se fijan bien la parte de arriba la tejí con un procedimiento similar a que hice en las cejas, es decir tiene extremos puntiagudos y curvas, para la parte del palo usé por dentro dos palitos de chupeta con alambre por dentro, las púas son 3 puntos en un anillo seguido de 2 puntos y un aumento, estas púas son tan pequeñas y en color negro que sentía que no podía ver cuando iba tejiendo, pero resultado fue mi favorito, el arma de Gamaken fue lo que más me gustó del proyecto.

Resultado / Result
Creo que el post puede resultar un poco extenso, pero realmente necesitaba compartir todos los detalles porque siento que en esta comunidad hay mucha gente que puede entender mi pasión por el tejido y por la creación de personajes, realmente no sé si exista alguna otra persona que haya tejido a este personaje , busqué en Google y no encontré ninguna referencia, así que cuando esto sucede me siento doblemente feliz porque hay posibilidad de que yo haya sido la primera en hacer este personaje tejido croché.
