I want to start this post with a question, is depression real or is it an act that grows within it's victims head! I bring to you what you need to know about depression and how you can defeat it within yourself.

I likened depression to fear and everyone knows that fear doesn't exist but it's just a state of mind. The same is applicable to depression. This is because, one single threat from someone who might probably afraid of you, can set someone in a depressed state. Although, there are real threats to life, majority of things that traumatize people are imagination and psychological in nature.

Like I said in my topic: the power you think people have over you doesn't exist. This is the absolute truth about the depressed state. All the things you allucinante about are developed in your mind and send to your brain and it translates into depression.

If you ask a depressed person the cause of his or her depression, I bet you they don't know. Why because they only gave fear the chance to rule over them and they start seeing things that are imagined within them.

What do I need to do to overcome depression?

  • resist fear. Your ability to resist fear gives you an edge over the situation. Remember that before depression comes series of imaginations.
  • forgive yourself. Some people are depressed because of the bad things they've done in the past. Once you realize the act you embarked in the past is bad and you've turned away from them, immediately forgive yourself and move on, forget about the past look towards the future.
  • talk to someone about the situation. A preacher said, a closed mouth is a closed destiny. One of the antidotes of depression is deliberate dialogue. Talking to someone have a way of improving your psychology or thinking. It's usually said that a problem shared, is half solved. Talk to someone in order to help yourself quickly.
  • don't allow the situation to persist beyond two days. The quicker you solve the problem the lesser the damages.
  • visit a professional (counselor).
  • pray to God

Just have this always on your mind that the power you think people have over you doesn't exist

Thank you!

Yea man, you're right. Sometimes life happens and we just spiral down into these negative thinking loops. We just need to love ourselves enough to get through the stress and drama of day-to-day issues. So I just live by the code "Worrying won't change a thing".
