European Countries are Indirectly Supporting Russia in the Current War Through Oil and Gas Purchase: I'm Seeing a Prolonged War if Alternative Oil and Gas Sources are not Created

Greetings friends!
The current Russia-Ukraine war has affected the entire globe in different ways and there's no part of the world that can say they're isolated from the ripple effects of the war whether heavily or mildly.

There's the rise of inflation all over and this affecting the prices of goods in the market and also the stock exchange as well as the crypto hemisphere.

Last week I made a post on this platform and talked about viewing the war from an economic perspective and in that post I talked about realities of the current Russia-Ukraine conflict and how it'll affect Western Europe.

It's a truism that Western Europe depends heavily on Russia for energy supply and this has been the reason why most Western European countries are not condemning Russia in this conflict. This is because of the economic impact it'll bring to their economy.

Energy is what everyone cannot do without in this 21st century. What kind of energy does Russia supply Western Europe? Nitrogen gas.

How Are European Countries Supporting the War Between Russia and Ukraine

Majorly there are two things that helps to prolong a war or conflict: constant financial inflows and ammunition. In the areas of financial inflows, their must be either an economic venture that's bring constant money used in purchasing food to feed the soldiers in the war front, while the first (financial inflows) gives birth to more sophisticated weapons.

The purchase of Putin's oil and gas by Western Europe and other parts of the world is a clear indication that Russia will continue to push his troops further into the battlefield. Wars are fought and sustained with food and ammunition.

Since Europe can not do without Putin's oil and gas at the moment, they equally know that Putin will not want to end the war in Ukraine because he has the will power to conquer Ukraine.

What's the Way Out

The monopoly game in energy supply in Europe if ended can lead to early end of the conflict. What this means is that an alternative source of oil and gas supply should be looked for.

There other oil and gas producing nations in the world that the entire Europe should consider as alternatives to the Russian oil and gas. Although tilting to other oil producing nations in the world have a negative effect on them:

  • it can increase the inflation rate of oil and gas.

What's is inflation rate compared to the collateral damages caused in war times. Currently the war is claiming lives and properties worth billions of dollars.

Alternative source of energy supply will frustrate Putin's mission in Ukraine because indirectly it'll affect the well-being of citizens in Russia.

It's impossible to continue two great ventures of financing a war and building infrastructures in Russia. This means that if Europe through the European Union considers alternative source of oil and gas, Putin will either consider negotiation or face uprising from within Russia.

Once there's an uprising in Russia, Putin will consider fighting two wars.

I'll finally say that the entire world not only Europe should remove monopoly of any product in the hands of a particular country because that's one of the reasons for a sustained conflict anywhere and anytime.
