Inktober 52, year 2023, week 10: Frame - A photo as a base

More truly IS more, right?

All the flowers or snow flakes or roundy little things among the lines are different. Let's just say that I got a little carried away by the symmetry tool in AutoDesk SketchBook. And as you can see I also used the symmetry tool when drawing the lines on the edge the photo.

Jeez! People shouldn't invent things like symmetry tools. So addictive.

I put the final touches in the frame in Photoshop, moved things around a little bit and there you have it. Inktober 52, week 10, frame! First one done from this years prompt list.

Here's the original photo. It's from a waffle café that I think I go too often. But the waffles just are so good. Especially with extra ice cream.

The number 10 and the darker balls are from the film backing paper.

The camera is placed on the table. There was no room to move the chair that's in the front and there were plenty of people there, as always, the exposure time just is so long that as people were moving around it seems like the café was empty. It think the exposure time was somewhere around 15 seconds.

Oh the pain in my finger as I kept the shutter lever down that long. There's only two shutter speed options, instant and the one that I used, open as long as I can hold it.

Also there's only two aperture options f/16 and f/22. What a range of options! It's like, you have to take the photo in bright sunlight or in the: sunlight is burning my eyes -light.

It took me a moment to figure out how to open the camera (Manual? Who needs it?) and it also took me a moment to clean the camera from inside since it had a lot of weird hair that was, I think, the remains of an old sealer. So lots of dirt but then again, it's easy to clean.

I also took me a while to see what I was trying to take a photo of. Although the viewfinder is clean and looks relatively good and you can see clearly through it when indoors, it's a huge pain in the buttocks to try to see anything outdoors through it if you have just a little bit harder light coming from any direction. And of course I needed a really strong light as I again was out there without a stand.

But as you can see from my previous post and this one, I did manage to catch something. No, not any of the corona variations but photos with Coronet.
