Amigurumi #148: Alex Ubago - Cantantes del mundo / World singers

Esta es la 4º vez que nos visita...Sí, se trata del cantautor Alex Ubago.

De todas maneras este año tenía que tejerlo, ya sea en su versión mini o mediano. Al inicio no supe ¿cuál versión tejería?. Luego recordé el momento en lo que conocí y fue en el video clip Dame tú aire allá por los 2004, jaja.

This is the 4th time he's visited us... Yes, it's the singer-songwriter Alex Ubago.

Anyway, this year I had to knit him, either in his mini or medium version. At the beginning I didn't know which version I would knit. Then I remembered the moment I met him and it was in the video clip Dame tú aire back in 2004, haha.

Lo curioso de este video clip es que Alex está con 3 vestuarios, por eso elegí representar 2. No se si alguna vez le tejiste a un amigurumi una chompa con "rayas verticales". Este detalle hizo que me quede pensando ¿cómo lograr ese efecto?, sobre todo si sería parte del cuerpo...porque si fuese una prenda externa sería más sencillo a mi parecer.

I don't know if you've ever knitted a jumper with "vertical stripes" on an amigurumi before. This detail made me wonder how to achieve this effect, especially if it would be part of the body...because if it was an external garment it would be simpler to my opinion.

Otro parte entretenida fue sacar el modelo de la casaca de cuero. Al final me encantó la mini casaquita. Por lo general el cabello y los detalles del rostro lo dejo para el final, junto a los otros detalles del personaje.

Another fun part was to get the model of the leather jacket out of the way. In the end I loved the little mini house. I usually leave the hair and face details to the end, along with the other details of the character.

Debo confesar haber visto varias veces el video clip (enlace arriba) para sacar el modelo de las zapatillas. Curiosamente tuve unas zapatillas similares así que chévre por esa parte.

Por lo general mi estilo es utilizar todo tejido. Menciono esto porque en un inicio quise hacerle el rasgado del pantalón con pintura acrílica y al final quedó con el pantalón de esta época (sin rasgado y modelo pitillo), jaja.

I must confess that I watched several times the video clip (link above) to get the model of the shoes. Funnily enough, I had a similar pair of trainers, so I was happy with that part.

Generally my style is to use all fabrics. I mention this because at the beginning I wanted to make the ripped trousers with acrylic paint and in the end I ended up with the trousers of this time (without ripping and skinny model), haha.

Me encantó volver a vivir esa época mediante un video clip. Alex Ubago muestra que las composiciones musicales no tratan únicamente del amor y desamor de pareja, mas bien son un vehículo por el cual puedes trasmitir ideas que cambien este mundo. Sus canciones tratan de esperanza, auto superación, autoconfianza, problemas reales como la pobreza, desnutrición y guerras, mejorar este mundo, la contaminación, los hijos, la familia, la amistad, vivir el presente, entre otros.

I loved reliving that time through a video clip. Alex Ubago shows that musical compositions are not just about love and heartbreak, but rather they are a vehicle through which you can transmit ideas that change this world. His songs are about hope, self-improvement, self-confidence, real problems such as poverty, malnutrition and wars, improving this world, pollution, children, family, friendship, living in the present, among others.
