Hello, dear brothers and sisters of the Hive Open Mic community. Greetings and blessings to us all. I am Zein Grind from @indonesiabersatu band, back again to fill the weekly #openmic event which has now entered week 176 with the theme Gratitude chosen by our friend @ernesto6402. This is a very interesting theme, so I brought a cover song called "Punk Is Attitude" by MCPR.

This song explains the true meaning of Punk, about independence and equality. From this theme, I am grateful because in my life journey after knowing the world of punk. For me, punk is not just a street community, but a deep philosophy of life. Punk taught me valuable values of independence and equality. Through the teachings of punk, I learnt how important it is to have independence in living life and being able to stand firm without relying on others.

Not only that, in the punk world, differences are valued and considered as wealth. This concept teaches that differences are something to be celebrated, not avoided. No hierarchy distinguishes one individual from another, we are all equal. My gratitude deepens as I have been allowed to understand that in the punk world, there is no room for discrimination or judgment based on social status or background.

Punk music has also played an important role in my life journey. When I first learnt to play the bass, the music I played was upbeat Punk music and the powerful lyrics inspired me to stick to the values I learnt from the punk world. Through punk songs, I feel the energy and passion to fight for what I believe in, unafraid to speak out on important issues that many may find controversial.

My gratitude grew along with my understanding and experience in the punk scene. The teachings of self-reliance, equality, and respect for differences have given me a deeper outlook on life. I am grateful to have known punk and its spirit that taught me to live with integrity and courage.
