Hive Open Mic Week 156 - I Hate Myself and I Wanna Die (Cover) by Indonesiabersatu
Hello brothers and sisters, We are IndonesiaBersatu, a Punk Rock band from Medan, Indonesia. For this week, the band personnel is incomplete so we only do it together. Because both of our personnel are focused on fasting in this month of Ramadan. So, the weekly #openmic event has now entered week 156 with the theme Tú Hasta El Extremo. This theme was chosen by our spotlight artist @wbrandt. It's an interesting theme, so we brought a cover song called I Hate Myself and I Wanna Die by Nirvana, an American Grunge Rock band. Released in 1993 on the album In Utero.
I think the song "I Hate Myself and I Want to Die" is a representation of the depression and anxiety of Kurt Cobain, the songwriter. Given that he was addicted to drugs and had mental health problems. To the extreme, he experienced great frustration and despair and wrote this song. As once rumored by the media Kurt Cobain committed suicide to end his life. If you hate yourself, would you end your life? I hope not guys!
Gautama Buddha once said that life is suffering. I do believe that there is a lot of suffering in life. But, life is also a battle. Every battle must have a struggle. In this life full of suffering, we must fight and try to create happiness and joy guys. If you are experiencing severe problems to the extreme, share your problems with your friends or family. Who knows it can ease the burden you feel. It's okay if you are sad and cry, it's not a disgrace. You have to keep getting up and fighting for yourself and your loved ones. Don't give up friend!
