I decided just now that I'm going to catch up on freewrites. I mean, I probably won't catch all the way up, but if I did, I'd deserve a nobel prize.

Or a pulitzer.

Mr. Pulitzer, the newspaper baron, right? Contemporary of William Randolph Hearst? Right? I don't know. I was reading, and the authors presumably deserve a nobel prize, that the secret to happiness in old age lies in three things. Ha. I don't know why I said three. It was 7 or something. Maybe 10

Anyways the happy people were the ones who were healthy. And they were nonsmokers, nondrinkers, who had strong relationships and had spent their lifetime learning. It made me feel a little sad, because sometimes I tell myself I'm going to learn something, and then I immediately don't. You know? Like, I've started and stopped codecademy 5 times during this pandemic. I get partway through, and I just haven't the foggiest if I'm actually retaining anything. I think I need harder challenges, and some "do it yourself" stuff. To be fair, I'm not paying for the pro stuff, just what's free, but I figure if they want me to pay for the pro stuff, they should wow me with the free stuff, and I am just not sure I'm learning. I should maybe go back to school for this stuff? I just think of my pre-calc class, and that I got a b, but I don't think I retained anything.

There are people with good morals and values who help each other. They also deserve great prizes.👍
