You don't need alcohol to be happy : Week 198

Being the only one in the family who has never liked to drink alcohol at parties or gatherings, has been a constant headache, because people get intense, and want to force you to drink, or else they look at you ugly, tell you that you are boring, and many other things.

I'm not saying that I haven't tried it, because if I have, I've had a sip or two, but not for pleasure, it has been mostly to please others, to get out of the way.

The years have passed, and I have not changed much in this aspect, every time I attend family gatherings, it is the same, they offer me a drink, sometimes I reject them, sometimes I have to please, just to stop the intensity, and the insistence, it is annoying to have to give explanations, when people criticize you because you do not like to drink, everyone is free, and if some people like it, they should respect those who do not.

But unfortunately, it is not like that, there is always someone, who wants to be funny, fearless, and well, one has to smile and put up with the comments, because then if you answer wrong, you are hateful or bitter, but somehow or another, they always end up crossing you out and talking about you.

The friend @galenkp answered me that I can answer several topics in one post, or split it, in this case, I will focus on this point, but I will add a little bit the dancing part....

And the thing is that when I went to the discos, I had a hard time dancing, I'm not very good, there are people who are born with an artistic gift, for dancing, singing, acting, in short, unfortunately I was born with the left foot, no voice or singing and well, I'm still figuring out what my gift is, honestly..haha 😄

I like to listen to music, of my style and taste, but from there to dance, well, it's been a long time since I tried, one of the things I have among my adventures this year, is included this, try to get into some dance activity, for example zumba, but well that's to be seen.

I've always said that I'm the weird one in the family, I don't dance or drink, when I go to meetings, I just sit down to eat and talk, that's what I like to do the most, invite me to have coffee, a juice or to eat, I go there happy and delighted with life, and if it's to the beach, or some travel adventure, I also sign up haha...😍

I respect people who like to drink, but in moderation, there are some who know that alcohol hurts them, that it doesn't do them good, that it transforms them, and even so, they keep doing it, I don't understand why so much masochism....

You don't need alcohol to be happy, to have a good time, you just need to be in a good environment, with good company, and that's it, the rest is history.

But hey, it's my humble opinion, maybe some people share it, maybe others don't, the world is upside down, I'll leave this for the next topic.👉
