We already live in an Apocalyptic World

Like a trip back in time, remembering those moments of darkness, silence and waiting, times we thought we would never live, but it did happen...

Reading the topics proposed by my friend @galenkp, for this weekend, the one that made me the most noise was the Apocalyptic World, and this led me to remember that day so overwhelming, but at the same time with a light that allowed me to keep smiling, despite the bad time we were living.

Well many know that in my country, we have gone through everything, Venezuela, is my beautiful land, there is no doubt that it has great wonders, unique places in the world, but like everything, surrounded by people who do not know how to value it, appreciate it, and give it that feeling; for many years we fell into the hands of a government, which has only led us to spend bad times, full of darkness, scarcity, poverty, destruction.

There was a time when we lived and suffered that chaotic world, without light, without food, without gasoline; I remember when we spent a whole day without electricity, 24 hours a day, without signal, without being able to communicate or know anything about the outside world, without having any idea of what was happening, because the whole country was in darkness.

At that time, I had signed up for a conference, fortunately the site had a power plant, and well we were able to enjoy this event, and for a couple of hours, forget that outside, on the other side, there was no signal, no power, no nothing; when I got home, everything was in darkness, the streets, total silence, just waiting for everything to return to normal.

To think that this was a few years ago, we lived through the food shortage, the huge queues to be able to buy, to get something, the people looking for fuel, sleeping in the street, waiting for the truck to arrive, my brother-in-law more than once, had to spend the night sleeping in his car, to be able to get gas the next day.

And yes, I would like to be able to say, that this is completely over, but in a way we are still living it, the light going out, the line for gas, in short, as I said, we are not very far from that supposed apocalyptic world, I think the only thing we need is to become Zombieee, but you never know hahaha....

I think it is difficult to be prepared to live a situation like this, but definitely, we are used to it, we are already many years, suffering all this, and here we are, standing, fighting and surviving in all this chaos, many chose to leave the country, abandon the ship as they say, thinking that outside, they will find and live better.

But wherever you go, you will always find chaos, destruction, no country in the world is saved from this, they just live it differently, there are many ways to live in an apocalyptic world.

How we can survive, what skills we should have, well I am not sure, I can only say, try to stay calm, is the first thing we must do, we tend to despair, nerves, fear, attacks us, and that is where we can make a mistake, and worsen what happens, it is easy to say, but it is not, because fear is usually our worst enemy, that is the truth, and from there, the real chaos arises.

I remember, when I saw these queues, people were upset, they were fighting among themselves, I think that for this, we should also try to be empathetic, to put ourselves in the other person's place, we all want the same thing, but fighting among ourselves, we achieve nothing.

These are situations that usually stress us, however, as they say, after the storm, comes the calm, we can only breathe, manage to survive, one day at a time, that's the important thing, somehow, we will find how....
