ENGAGEMENT ON HIVE BROUGHT ME THIS FAR

I joined hive with thoughts of creating awareness on things I love, sharing my opinion on things I'm familiar with and learning more from other people
One thing I did not put into consideration was bond which at first did not seem important to me but as time goes on and I spend more time on hive I realise there's a need to bond with more people only then do I get to enjoy the full benefits of what hive is to offer and the only way I get to bond is with my engagement.
Engagement comes with visibility and sure exposes you to people with great minds and doings.
The platform has a lot of people with great minds and doing one way to come closer, learn and meet them is through engagement.
Hive is a platform whereby what you give in is what you get.
How well you spend your time on hive platform determines how far you get rooted here on hive.
It's like saying what you give you get and truth be told that how life is the amount of energy, you put in to be successful determines the tendency of your success.
Engagement on hive is a ready-made bond that every individual account has but requires more commenting with validity to actualize.
It is an act that gives more visibility to others and help the growth of accounts.
Engagement on hive became part of me when I came across @nonsowrites post titled 10COMMENT A DAY KEEPS THR BOREDOM AWAY last year and truth be told that post changed my mentality on how I see engagement and the importance of putting it into consideration.

Unfortunately, posting regularly won’t give you the exposure you need because the reality is most people aren’t reading, especially posts from accounts they are not familiar with. So your best chance of getting any form of attention is via engaging.
in that post @nonsowrites talked about how important engagement is and gave tips on how to make it easy.
I put into consideration his tips and began to make 10 comments before I post and within the space of two weeks I began to get the exposure I wanted and get familiar with the platform.
The engagement did not just bring me exposure but helped create bonds with my fellow hivers and then I began to enjoy my time spent on hive.
Engagement gave me more exposure.
Engagement made the platform more fun
Engagement helped built my account
One thing I'm grateful for is having to put into consideration engagement which has helped do more positive to my growth here on this platform.

This is exactly how I feel. It was so boring to me in the beginning when I wasn’t engaging and just waiting on others to “find” me.
Such a true statement that I fully agree with and have been a witness to. The amount of your involvement has a direct impact on this for sure.

That's a nice one. I have also tried to keep my engagement as a top priority rather than creating my post. I believe hive is all about making friends and ensuring everyone is important. Thanks so kindly for reminding me of what is most needed in this chain.

10 comments a great daily practice. Increased engagement in communities that share interests with your own is the best way to go and you'll find people that you can easily identify with, so it looks like you got that one in the bag. Nicely done :)

That post you mention I had not heard of.
I will be honest and feel that I overengage at times to the detriment of my account, in so far as I will spend so much time answering and commenting that I run out of time to write and post an article of mine!
Anyway engaging is fun, for me Hive is a social site and that means yep being social.
These people that post and run and then complain about lack of engagement, oh well some people never learn!
When you engage, Hive is fun and then it gets better and better!

you know when one start engaging it is always fun that you lost track of time and have no idea guess that why.
I feel more engagement will definitely make the platform fun.
