New Criteria in Crypto Airdrops
The airdrop hype in crypto is still pretty hot as the airdrop of Arbitrum injected millions of dollars into the ecosystem. The expectations from the potential projects are increasing as they are attracting thousands of daily active users to the platforms operating on them.

The zero-knowledge projects, new cross-chain bridges, and decentralized exchanges sometimes have difficulty initiating transactions due to the enormous amount of transactions they have. As the number of active wallets (not a real persona, but wallets) keeps rising, the airdrop criteria need to be more selective to be fair or worthy.
We need to remember the fact that projects make airdrops to gain early investors, reward the efforts of "people" and do marketing by distributing free money. Thus, we need to re-modify our airdrop hunts accordingly.
Proof of Person, Gitcoin Passport
Gitcoin Passport is one of the most effective ways to prove that a wallet owner is a real person who has profiles or verifications of blockchain activities at earlier times in different contexts.
The war against bots in crypto airdrops will level up. Passports might be some of the ways that the projects get help. It is better for you to create your passport on Gitcoin and verify the assets or previous experience on chains.

I think this should be done for the main accounts that you hunt airdrop with high volume. The other wallets do not necessarily need to have verifications with low volume and quest-based activities.
Guild XYZ Quests
I think new airdrops will care about Guild XYZ quests as these quests are perfectly designed to push crypto enthusiasts to engage more with the projects, initiate more transactions, spend more money and invite more people.
The gamification mechanism of Guild is a facilitator factor for projects which are considering an airdrop that will let them find a strong position in the sub-ecosystems such as GameFi, DeFi, and SocialFi.

Also, Guild XYZ requests Twitter, Discord, and Wallet to join these quests. These 3 accounts are, indirectly, linked to each other to track a person’s activities for a possible airdrop.
The main accounts can be linked to Guild XYZ for roles and big portion of an airdrop.
Overall, proof of humanity will be the next big issue for the upcoming airdrops. The projects do not want to distribute their tokens to 100,000 wallets for $100 per each. Rather, they want to make it for 10,000 wallets with $1000 each because this will be the way that they can have a successful marketing as a result of airdrop.
The airdrop means the death of all the engagement on the chain/project before. Thus, they should keep the fire lit and incentivize people to be on them as before. Better to have an eye on both Passport Gitcoin and Guild XYZ to prove that your main wallet is genuinely used to explore crypto.

I think bots will become more of a problem as they become more sophisticated. Having a proof of humanity system in place is a really great way to separate the real human from bots and genuinely reward the former. I currently don't know of any, this is the first time I'm hearing the concept. Thanks for the educative post :)
Welcome,
There are huge numbers of transactions on zkSync, Starknet and Layer Zero projects. I'm sure the projects do not want to reward bots that will degrade their airdrop
Bots do not bring any value and with a mechanism like KYC put in place, you can eliminate them entirely.
