El año pasado, por medio de una publicidad en TV, supe de esta serie y apenas vi el elenco que la integraba, me interesó mucho verla, sin saber muy bien de que iba al principio, pude entrever en una búsqueda rápida por Google de que se trataba la trama de la serie y me enganchó aún más.

Last year, through an advertisement on TV, I found out about this series and as soon as I saw the cast that made it up, I was very interested in seeing it, without really knowing what it was about at first, I could glimpse in a quick Google search that it was about the plot of the series and it hooked me even more.

Tiene un reparto bastante bueno y la serie, basada en hechos reales, se centra en el brutal asesinato de una mujer (Betsy Farias) a manos de un asesino serial el cual queda al descubierto luego de una investigación profunda de un abogado luego de que a su cliente se le declarara como culpable de un crimen que no cometió.

It has a pretty good cast and the series, based on true events, centers on the brutal murder of a woman (Betsy Farias) at the hands of a serial killer who is exposed after an in-depth investigation of a lawyer after his client was found guilty of a crime he did not commit.

Como les mencioné anteriormente, se trata de una serie basada en hechos reales, sobre el asesinato real de (Betsy Farias), es una historia verdaderamente trágica, acompañada de un evento perpetrado por una persona trastornada que hizo lo inimaginable a otra persona solo por dinero.

As I mentioned before, this is a series based on true events, about the real murder of (Betsy Farias), it is a truly tragic story, accompanied by an event perpetrated by a deranged person who did the unimaginable another person just for money.

El elenco está conformado por Renée Zellweger, Katy Mixon, Josh Duhamel, Judy Greer y GlennFlesher, todos ellos encarnando personas reales que hicieron o tuvieron que ver directamente con el caso real ocurrido en el año 2011, el cual inspiró la serie.

The cast is made up of Renée Zellweger, Katy Mixon, Josh Duhamel, Judy Greer and GlennFlesher, all embodying real people who did or had to see directly with the real case that occurred in 2011, which inspired the series.

Particularmente, me atrajo enormemente el papel de Renée Zellweger, fue tan diferente verla en un papel con tantos matices y cambios de humor, actitud y comportamiento que casi no logré reconocerla, más allá de la apariencia física en la que se tuvo que ajustar a la de la verdadera Pam Hupp para interpretarla perfectamente bien. La sorpresa del elenco para mi fue sin duda Josh Duhamel, creo que si han sido 2 películas en las que lo he visto actuar es decir mucho para mi, desconocía su faceta de actor más dramático, siempre que lo vi fueron en rom-coms y nada más; su permanente durante toda la serie me distrajo en ocasiones, pero lo requería la caracterización de su personaje.

In particular, I was greatly attracted to the role of Renée Zellweger, it was so different to see her in a role with so many nuances and changes in mood, attitude and behavior that I could hardly recognize her, beyond the physical appearance in which she was taken. to adjust to that of the real Pam Hupp to play her perfectly well. The surprise of the cast for me was without a doubt Josh Duhamel, I think that if there have been 2 films in which I have seen him act, it means a lot to me, I was unaware of his facet as a more dramatic actor, every time I saw him they were in rom-coms and nothing else; His perm throughout the series distracted me at times, but the characterization of his character required it.

Con respecto a la producción estuvo bastante bien manejada. La serie se centra en los años 2000's y la ambientación fue muy buena, incluso buscando material sobre el juicio que se realizó años después, se hizo casi un copia y pega en todo, no perdieron ningún detalle y eso habla de lo minucioso que se puede ser cuando se trata de lograr un trabajo de calidad.

With respect to the production it was quite well managed. The series focuses on the 2000s and the setting was very good, even looking for material about the trial that took place years later, everything was almost copied and pasted, they didn't lose any detail and that speaks of how thorough it can be be when it comes to achieving quality work.

La narrativa de la historia me parece genial, hubo momentos en los que tal vez añadieron más de lo que debían, hicieron algo pesada y tediosa algunos de los episodios, los cuales solo fueron 6 por cierto, pero creo que en general no hay mucho que hablar mal de ella, es una trama bastante dura pero con un ligero toque de comedia que alivia la carga de una serie basada en el asesinato de una mujer inocente.

The narrative of the story seems great to me, there were moments in which perhaps they added more than they should have, they made some of the episodes a bit heavy and tedious, which were only 6 by the way, but I think that in general there is not much to to speak ill of her, is a rather harsh plot but with a slight touch of comedy that lightens the burden of a series based on the murder of an innocent woman.

Aunque la serie pasó casi desapercibida por completo, creo que no se le dio lugar y la publicidad para que lograra captar mayor atención, aunque en parte creo que tuvo que ver con el hecho de que fue transmitido por Star+ y pudo haber sido ese parte de su pasada por debajo de la mesa por lo menos para Latinoamérica.

Although the series went almost completely unnoticed, I think it was not given space and publicity to get more attention, although I think part of it had to do with the fact that it was broadcast on Star+ and It could have been that part of his past under the table at least for Latin America.

Es una recomendación asegurada si lo tuyo es las historias reales (como lo son para mi) y si tienes aquello de interesarte por los eventos criminales que esta serie narra (que no es para nada lo mío, por cierto); pero sin duda será una buena mini serie para veas y saques tus propias conclusiones a cerca de este caso.

It is an assured recommendation if your thing is true stories (as they are for me) and if you are interested in the criminal events that this series narrates (which is not my thing at all, by the way); but it will undoubtedly be a good mini series to see and draw your own conclusions about this case.
