"Otoño", es el tema del concurso de cine de esta semana y la película que escogí sobre esta temporada del año fue "Tower Heist", una película de comedia/crimen del año 2011 protagonizada por Ben Stiller, Eddie Murphy, Alan Alda y Téa Leoni.

"Autumn", is the theme of this week's movie contest and the movie I chose about this season of the year was "Tower Heist", a 2011 crime/comedy movie starring _ Ben Stiller_, Eddie Murphy, Alan Alda and Téa Leoni.

La película se centra en la planificación y ejecución de un robo billonario a un magnate de Wall Street quien robó millones de dólares a cientos de personas y se encuentra arrestado en el edificio donde se llevará a cabo dicho asalto. El film es ambientado en New York en la temporada de otoño, específicamente durante las fiestas de "Thanksgiving".

The movie focuses on the planning and execution of a billionaire robbery against a Wall Street tycoon who stole millions of dollars from hundreds of people and is arrested in the building where the robbery will take place. The film is set in New York in the fall season, specifically during the "Thanksgiving" holidays.

La película como trama me parece interesante aunque es algo que ya se había visto antes, por ejemplo, "Ocean's Eleven" pero esta película tiene otro acercamiento y tratamiento en el guión, además que la comedia juego un papel importante dentro de todo el film.

The film as a plot seems interesting to me although it is something that had already been seen before, for example, "Ocean's Eleven" but this film has another approach and treatment in the script, in addition to the fact that comedy plays an important role within the entire film.

Lo que más me llamó la atención de esta película cuando la vi fue el hecho de que la desarrollaran en la temporada de otoño y viéndola pude entender el por qué fue desarrollada durante este estación del año, pero más específico, en una celebración que no suele ser celebrada en muchos lugares del mundo, "Día de Acción de Gracias".

What most caught my attention about this film when I saw it was the fact that it was developed in the fall season and seeing it I could understand why it was developed during this season of the year, but more specifically, in a celebration that is not usually be celebrated in many places around the world, "Thanksgiving Day".

Cuando leí sobre el tema del concurso de esta semana, no logré recordar si había visto alguna película que tuviese el otoño como parte de la narrativa dentro del guión pero luego recordé esta película y lo bien incorporado que estuvo este aspecto dentro de la película.

When I read about this week's contest topic, I couldn't remember if I had seen any movies that had fall as part of the narrative within the script but then I remembered this movie and how well this aspect was incorporated into the movie.

En mi país es una temporada interesante pero no es tan llamativa como en otros países (al menos no en la región donde yo vivo) y eso me llama la atención acerca de esta estación de año. Lo mismo ocurre con el "Día de Acción de Gracias", no es algo que celebremos aquí para esa fecha del año o que celebremos en absoluto, no es parte de nuestra cultura.

In my country it is an interesting season but it is not as striking as in other countries (at least not in the region where I live) and that draws my attention to this season of the year. The same goes for "Thanksgiving", it's not something we celebrate here for that time of year or celebrate at all, it's not part of our culture.

En la película vemos como es bien relevante "Día de Acción de Gracias", específicamente el desfile que se realiza ese día en New York ya que durante ese desfile y la ausencia de los billonario de su departamento, es cuando se lleva a cabo el robo dentro de su apartamento por parte de los protagonistas.

In the film we see how "Thanksgiving Day" is very relevant, specifically the parade that takes place that day in New York since during that parade and the absence of the billionaires from his department, is when the robbery is carried out inside his apartment by the protagonists.

Usualmente, en este tipo de películas, utilizan otra temporada del año (navidad, halloween, san valentín, entre otros) para ambientar la historia, pero era la primera vez, para mi, que veía una película que fuera desarrollada durante el otoño y que formara parte de la película y que no fuese solo algo "extra" que decidieron añadir para categorizar la película.

Usually, in these types of films, they use another season of the year (Christmas, Halloween, Valentine's Day, among others) to set the story, but it was the first time, for me, that I saw a film that was developed during the fall and that be part of the movie and not just something "extra" they decided to add to categorize the movie.

No soy fan de esta temporada del año ya que no está tan presente en mi país, tal vez por eso no estoy tan atraído a esa estación del año y por ende no veo tantas películas relacionadas con el otoño, aunque si debo admitir que es muy bonito y llamativo ver los árboles en los parques de New York con tonos de color naranja y amarillos que cubren toda la ciudad.

I am not a fan of this season of the year since it is not so present in my country, maybe that is why I am not so attracted to that season of the year and therefore I do not see so many films related to autumn, although I must admit that it is very beautiful and striking to see the trees in the parks of New York with shades of orange and yellow that cover the entire city.
