Well, this post is two days late. I usually work on it Saturday morning, but I was out yesterday as I needed and wanted to attend a family get-together to celebrate my aunt's 80th birthday. My mom was really close to this aunt who is my late dad's younger sister. Sadly, she has been bedridden for a while, and with my mobility issue, I prayed I'd somehow get to visit her. That chance happened yesterday so I did not pass it up.

My cousins organized a catered get-together at their home, and it was a trip down memory lane seeing old aunts and uncles as well as grown up cousins and their children. So ironic too that my aunts and uncles in their late 60s and early 70s could walk better than me. 😅 That should make me sad but well, that's my life's journey and challenge. I'm learning my way around it. 😒

That's one reason why I love this Huntrix song from KPop Demon Hunters. I'm still in the process of seeing the beauty in the broken glass... 🙄

The entire buffet dishes are really delicious. I was hungry so no photos. However, my cousin did share the dessert specials at the buffet. I did try them all as that's what buffet is all about. 😉

I rode with my brother and niece, and since it took a while for the travel back --as we also visited another aunt who lives nearby, we had an unplanned dinner together at a restaurant near home.

Shrimp gambas. Appetizer enjoyed by my niece as it's her favorite. On my part, I did not want to break my routine of not eating rice for dinner so I ordered a chicken sandwich instead.

Turned out it was a big serving so I ate one and had the other piece taken home. I shared it with the kitties then, as I arrived home later than usual. It's sort of a peace offering. 😆

Overall it was a good day to spend away from my keyboard. After all, family is family, and we have not had a good get-together in years. 🙏❤️💡

Prompt A Day : QUOTE

"October is a month of extraordinary contradictions—warmth and chill, abundance and letting go." - Unknown

shoutout to @shadowspub for the daily prompt (subscribe to her newsletter)

Well, it's pretty warm here for this time of the year. That's not the case in the past, but we've seen a lot of weather changes in the past years. I suppose the earth cycle is indeed changing. No, it does not have anything to do with climate change. On the other hand, I think the planet is trying to tell us something. 😒 I'm still waiting for the chill as the northeast monsoon (or amihan) has not arrived. On a side note, we may be expecting another typhoon to cross the country within the next few days. Let's see if it brings cooler temperature. 🙄

Time to share the main reason for this post... my ALIVE tokens staking day...

I did stake ALIVE tokens last Friday and added another 110 ALIVE to my stakes. I think I will do this till end of the year and plan to increase a little by 2027. Let's see..

It's also good to see that my earnings from promoting my LL coop link have increased over the weeks. 😉 well two more weeks left in October. Let's see how it goes for the next ones.

I actively work on these affiliate sites daily. Right now, I'm aiming to reach $8 on LL.

That's it for this week. I will be back with my Hive goals tracking post. See you then. Do have a lovely new week ahead! 👋 Ta-tah!
