When Disaster Couldn’t Stop a Birthday Celebration

Hello there my lovely hivers!!!!

My brother's birthday was on October 02, 2024, and we're still recovering from the strong earthquake that happened on September 30, 2025. My sister and I had planned a week before my brother's birthday that we would buy him a cake and surprise him, but then there's a disaster happened on his birthday. I didn't buy any gift for my brother, and he's birthday feels so sad, we didn't go to the bogo to celebrate his birthday. Still, he's happy because we were all safe and we still got to eat food.

On the night of October 09, my sister and I planned to surprise my brother with a bento cake and a mini person crochet for my brother. He also had an idea before we surprised him, since they were the ones who got the cake from the baker. He asked about my sister, who's the lucky person who will receive a bento cake, and I thought my sister would keep the secret. But she spilled it to my brother that it's for him. He can't believe that we still think of his birthday celebration.

Before they get the cake onto the baker, they make a tent for my brother, since this is where he would sleep. My father ensures to cover side by side on this pickup.

While observing them tied the tarpaulin so it wouldn't blow out in the wind. I spent my time crocheting this skirt, and it took me a few days to finish this. and I was worried if this yarn would be used by me since it's from my sister.

After we surprised him, we went to our car to take a picture of him, holding the cake and the gift made by my sister.
