We have always been passionate about food. Sakura Kristal relives the traditional dishes from the 'wok' and invents new modern contemporary dishes from the 'grill', Sakura Kristal has strived since the year 2003 and today, we are serving exceptional and uncompromised quality food to our customers; giving them a true gastronomic experience. ~ Sakura Kristal

At this time I am typing this blog, the place is closed permanently. 31st July was their last day. They had been operating for 19 years and decided to stop as they had earned enough, and there was a buyer too. We got to talk to the main worker, so we found out this information. So a farewell post, in memory of Sakura Kristal to let it imprinted into Hive Blockchain permanently too..

This place is a gem to me. My husband and I used to come here for chitchatting. And after our delicious food, we still could order another drink. The food was good and one could the chef throw his heart into every dish he created.

From outside, it was a huge building, spacious and cosy and comfortable inside.

Let's selfie with the building as memory too.

We went on 30th July, the second last day before it closed down. We brought the boys along too. I really love this place. Because it was a huge spacious building, you would not feel hot and stuffy at all. With high ceiling too. And a huge fan. And many smaller fans. Plus, they incorporated greens at every corners. And I love it that it was a open concept, very good natural air ventilated.

This section was great if we came in big group.

Overall view.

Love all the greens surrounding us.

We chose to sit here, it felt like another private section with all the beautiful lightings.

There was a projector too for us to watch TV. This was one of the place always crowded with people whenever there was a football match on because the owner would set up few projection for customers to watch football match for free. Of course you paid the food and drinks you ordered.

They had upgraded their ordering system and no longer used menu, we scanned the barcode given to get into the menu in our phones. Unfortunately, since they were closing down, so not many food in the menu left. They were famous with their grilled meat as well as everything 'wok' fry.

I screenshotted the menu from my phone on the food we ordered, let me show you below.

Food arrived

To our surprise, the food arrived so fast. Hmmm, smelled so nice.

Chicken Aglio olio

My eldest son fell in love with their chicken aglio olio on its first mouthful. Very delicious. I would say, well done. The pan fry chicken was juicy tender with the slight charred on the chicken skin. Yums!

Beef Shabu Fried Kuey Teow

I shared this with my youngest son and oh my, I did not expect it was that good until my youngest son ate 80% of it. So happy he could eat more than we expected. He needed those calories. I was okay with only eating 20% of the whole plate. The beef slices were soft enough yet fragrantly charred wokhey. The kuey teow of course was delicious.

Belacan Fried rice.

This one was my husband's food. Super yummy! He saw I didn't eat a lot so he gave me some of the fried chicken. So tasty. The belacan fried rice was flavourful too.

Drinks

Myself and youngest son did not orderbany drink but the eldest son ordered iced lemon and husband ordered hot lemon tea. The waiter served us free sky juice aka warm water.

My husband and I definitely would love this place. It had left us great memories, not only us, but the community staying there, memories of friendship, love, families and businesses. Let's see what will be the upcoming one since it was bought over by another people or company.
