Out for Frisbee and Basketball and a Walk / Sweating Fun!

It is special holiday today for some Chinese communities who celebrate Ghost Festival, so all Chinese schools are off today. It is rare opportunity for my eldest son to be with us in the morning so he asked to go for park outing. We gladly replied, "Yessss!!!" We chose Wangsa Siaga Park because it is vast and spacious, plus itself has three sections; one playground, one soccer court and one basketball. They wanted to play frisbee and to practise their basketball dribbling.

Wangsa Siaga Park

Preparation

Going to park is not our norm, so I needed to think and really prepare what to bring. One bag for 3 basketballs and 1 frisbee. And a bag of clothes and extra shirts for wiping sweat and change. Water bottles. Drinks and snacks. Set, we were ready!

They were so excited in the car. Kept saying praise God it was great weather. I was thinking it was quite hot and I was diligent with my sunscreen. They puzzled as they loved the sun!!! I love the sun too but not the UV rays on my skin. Lol

Reach the park

We were greeted by this super tall beautiful tree. I am always in awe of trees. Different types, different shades of greens and shapes. Different leaves.

Frisbee time

We only started playing frisbee lately and totally noob at it. We watched videos together for beginners and determined to train while having fun.

Lots of running because we kept failed to catch the frisbee. I realised I needed to build up my stamina again. Get tired easily. Haha.

In between rest, I got to adore the nature. So wish I can camp one day, to sleep in the midst of green. I wonder how will it feel like.

This park is so beautiful and peaceful. We were surrounded by greens. Here, we noticed there weren't any mosquitoes. Thank God because I dislike mosquitoes.

We played frisbee for half and hour and that was a good sweat time. But it wasn't enough for the boys. They wanted to go for basketball. So, we headed to the basketball court beside us where the soccer court is as well.

Basketball time

We just wanted to play for fun, not for real competition. We practised our dribbling from one court to the end of the court. Eldest son also loved to practise his shooting into the hoop. He could score quite well.

The net was not on proper arrangement but it was okay. They asked me to take this shot due to the squid game sign. Haha.

Half and hour later, we felt really tired and sweating like mad. Abit panting too. Lol. We took a short rest for drinks and snacks and wiped sweat.

I took a short rest and I walked around the basketball court. Just to get my body moving as I had been living a sedentary lifestyle. Not good at all.

So good to walk in quietness while looking around. Trees and flowers and the neighbourhood.

Spotted these group of flowers too. Once there were colours, my spirit couldn't help but to admire them.

Before we went home, the boys wanted to run wild and free again at the field. Children are meant to be like this, aren't they? They are naturally happy and bubbly, no stress. Often they got stressed because of their parents' stress. I want to aim to work hard on my happiness too and only God can help me in this. They found this branch and pretended play sling shot. Another one pretended it was his cool sword. Haha. Love their imagination.

Bye park. See you again!

Hi!

I hadn't stopped by your blog in a long time, and i was so happy to see pictures of your kids.

That older one is getting BIG!

Glad you got some exercise and thanks for sharing all those pictures, I love peeking into other parts of the world.

How did you get so lucky to have to park be nearly empty?

Hello @metzli. My honor to have you here looking at the photos in my blog. Why the park is empty? Because we were there at 9:30am when the sun was scorching hot and Malaysianscusually don't prefer to get sunburn since we already have hot and humid weather for 365 days. Most people go to the either early in the morning at 7am or in the evening at 5pm onwards. :) Trust you are doing good. I am sure your children are all grown up too. And we are getting younger. Hehe.

LOL, I sure am getting younger. HAHA

My kids keep growing, but I keep having more. My last one is only 2... (I have four now)

I understand now about the park being empty, makes perfect sense.
