PSG made the headline last night for a splendid performance from Messi, Neymar and Mbappe. Last night was the second time three of these players were only involved in the making of an assist and goals. PSG grabbed an early lead in the 6th minute, Messi made a through ball to Neymar as the Brazilian star played a shot into the goalposts.

The PSG scored the second goal of the match in the 19th minute. Messi again with another killer through ball into the box, this time finding Mbappe who tipped the ball into the goal post past the goalkeeper, doubling the lead for his team.

Clermont Foot scored their first goal of the match just on the brick of halftime. Saif-Eddine Khaoui from Clermont Foot made a cross ball squarely in the box with his teammate Jodel Dossou was quick to respond to the coming ball and made a tap into the goalpost.

PSG was awarded a penalty at the 70th minute after a Clermont defender brought down Mbappe in the box. I was expecting Messi to take the penalty instead of Neymar, the Brazilian winger got the better of the goalkeeper giving PSG a two-goal cushion over Clermont.

PSG got another goal again in the space of four minutes, Neymar sent in a long through ball to Mbappe, and the Frenchman dribbled past the goalkeeper and played a shot with his left foot into the goalpost. Mbappe completed his hat-trick in the 80th minute, Messi again found the French striker who curled the ball from inside the box, the ball went past the goalkeeper and entered the goalpost.

PSG was not done yet, three minutes after Mbappe's goal PSG led another dangerous counterattack, and Mbappe with his strong pace down the box and lead-out pass to Neymar, the Brazilian made a tap into the goalpost. It's Ironic Neymar and Mbappe got a hat trick and Messi got a hattrick to assist, if only they played this good against Madrid in the Champions League they wouldn't have gotten knocked out.

So, guys that will be all for now, there are still more matches to be played together, looking forward to seeing how Liverpool and Manchester City performed today. Thanks for stopping by.

In all honesty, I don't expect them to perform lesser considering the quality of opposition they played with. My issue with them is they always falter when it matters the most.

You actually said the truth, if this was how they played against Madrid it would be a different story, but still duo I think they are beginning to bond well.

Good for them and it's always good to see players bond well. It helps team chemistry.

It seems like the team is gradually getting to understand a better way to play with each other and it's so lovely to see Ramos fully fit again.

Glad they got their head straight, hope to see more of Ramos next season in the UCL.
