Manchester Derby

Hello sports lovers, welcome to another weekend of good football, hope you all had an amazing week. The EPL has been trending this week and one of the most talked-about matches was the Manchester Derby.

Manchester United welcomed their neighbour City at Old Trafford this afternoon for a chilling match. This was Ronaldo’s first Derby since he's returned to United.

The match took off as Michael Oliver blew his whistle. Manchester City looked fired up as they had control of the ball immediately putting pressure on the United defence.

The breakthrough came just 7 in the game from an own-goal by United defender Eric Bailly. Joao Cancelo sends in a cross-field ball in the box, in his attempt to clear the ball Eric Bailly, unfortunately, played it into the goal giving City the lead.

Manchester United came close to levelling the scoreline a few minutes later. Luke Shaw sent in a cross into the City’s box which was received by Ronaldo who responded with a volley. Unfortunately, City’s goalkeeper responded promptly to stop the ball from going into the net.

Manchester City we're so close to doubling the lead. De Bruyne played a shot from outside United’s box which was stopped by De Gea which bounced off to the foot of Gabriel Jesus. The City’s striker played another shot which was also saved by De Gea.

The United goalkeeper seemed to be in top form until late into the first half. The second goal came from a cross by Joao Cancelo. On the receiving end was Bernardo Silva who made a tap in with his right foot to the corner of the post beating De Gea.

The second half began, I was expecting a turnaround for Manchester United as they did in the champions league, Manchester City still dominated the second half the chance kept coming but no finishing touch.

Unfortunately for Manchester United, the match came to an end, United was unable to get a goal. A well-deserved victory Manchester City the played well. More still to come from football this weekend don't miss out.
