Cristaino Ronaldo ( Is He The Problem On The Field ?)

Source

On Tuesday night, Portugal played against Switzerland in the round of sixteen knockout stages of the world cup. It was a top-notch performance from Portugal's squad, but before I get into the match I will first talk about Cristiano Ronaldo, one of the greatest players in football and Portugal's star man.

It's no news about the drama that happened over the past weeks between Ronaldo and Manchester United, it went up the roof when Ronaldo spoke in an interview with Piers Morgan, a popular Tv presenter in England. Since the start of the new EPL campaign and the arrival of Manchester United's new manager Erik ten Hag we have had some changes at the club.

They might have not reached that level we expected under Ten Hag but we can all agree he has done a great job so far this season. The new campaign season has not been good on Ronaldo's side, his performances on the field has been terrible this season and it has cost him to act unprofessional a few times.

After the exploding interview with Piers Morgan, Manchester United decided to terminate Ronaldo's contract and ask him to leave the club, which I think was the best decision for both parties, because there is no way Ronaldo could return back to United and things will be the same.

Ronald performance during the season brought a lot of questions up about whether it time for him to hang his boots or play in the USA or China leagues to the final days of his career, what made his performance more controversial is without him on the line up for Manchester United the team seems to deliver a better performance and win matches and he seen like the problem in Manchester United.

In the national team also it seems the same thing is happening, his performance against Korea Republic in the group stage match last week was horrible, he even made an error which led to Korea Republic's first goal and led to a comeback for the Korea Republic as they beat Portugal 2-1 and progressed to the quarterfinals.

Back to Portugal's match against Switzerland, the news of Ronaldo not being on the starting lineups went far and you know the media has been unto Ronaldo, they have not spared him during the campaign season and have kept on trolling him, some speaks facts and some are just doing it to spite Ronaldo.

Portugal's beat Switzerland 6-1, their performance was top notch and it seemed they were better without Ronaldo on the pitch, and this guy Goncalo Ramos who played in Ronaldo's position was so good, he scored a hat trick and outscored Ronaldo's world cup goal and leveled Messi's world cup goal in one match that mind blowing.

Ronald was subbed in at the 76th minute of second half but had little impact on the field, honestly I am not even a Ronaldo fan but I feel sorry for him it not easy seeing a player like him to go down this bad and if he does not step up soon he might not be the first choice for Portugal coach in the upcoming matches( if they progress further in the world cup).

Portugal will face Morocco in the quarter finals this weekend, if I should guess I think Morocco might just have a chance to win the match because they have a good record against top ranked teams by Fifa in the world cup. So guys I will be looking forward to the quarterfinals matches this weekend, thanks once again for stopping by.

It’s really sad to see great players like Ronaldo start failing to produce. I don’t think Ronaldo is the problem.

I’d very much like Morocco to progress but I don’t think they would be able to do it against Portugal.

I think it's time he accepts his flaws and move on. Don't write Morocco off yet, they have been superb in the world cup against top ranked teams, I think they have what it takes to beat Portugal.

Yeah he probably should accept his last his prime and just accept the chances he’s given. I’m even more convinced now Morocco could go through.

Hmmn bro,
We are thinking same kinda thing this period. No wonder our new posts have similar headings.

Something I call "modern football" in my recent post-Where Did Cristiano's Problems Start. I concluded he was too proud to admit he needed to respect the details of how top level football is played these days.

Cheers
