What a night it was for Argentina's players, the fans, and Messi's supporters around the world, Argentina's squad came through again as they sent Australia packing out of the tournament. If you are still having doubts about this Argentina team, that they are not capable of winning the world cup then I am sorry for you because you are still in the stone age🙂.

Last night the GOAT Lionel Messi dropped a masterclass in his 1000 match for both club and country as a professional football player, to add to his beautiful achievement he even scored a goal which was a huge boost for Argentina last night.

Argentina opened the scoreline in the 35th minute of the first half, Messi led a counterattack and gave a pass to Otamendi who returned the pass to Messi and the GOAT played a low shot into the goal post and gave Argentina their first goal in the match.

Argentina extended their lead to two goals in the 57th minute of the second half, Australian goalkeeper Mathew Ryan made an error in his box which led to Julian Alvarez from Argentina quickly dispossessing the ball from the goalkeeper's leg and played the ball into the goalpost.

Australia's first goal was scored in the 77th minute, Craig Goodwin took a powerful shot from outside the box, and the ball deflected off Enzo Fernandez and entered the goalposts. It took a while before the officials confirmed the goal was not scored by Craig Goodwin but was an own goal.

After the own goal it seemed, there was panic among the Argentina players and the Australian players became more confident on the pitch. Argentina still tried getting more goals but Lisandro Martinez missed two golden opportunities to score, but anyway Australia fa,iled to score even when they had a close opportunity in 90+5 minutes but got denied by the Argentina goalkeeper.
