Morning walk around Lampegan station
Greetings everyone. How are you dear friends? Hope well. Thank you Wednesdaywalk inspiration by @tattoodjay. Some time ago, I took a train from Sukabumi station at 5:15 am to Lampegan Cianjur station.

The distance is quite close about 30 minutes, only passing two stops. When I arrived at Lampegan station, I got off and the train continued at Cipatat station, it took about an hour or more. After I got off at Lampegan station, it was still morning.

The air was quite cold around Lampegan station. Then I walked on the train tracks. Why I walked to Lampegan station and it's surrounding?, because there are historical traces left by the Dutch government at that time, such as Lampegan train station, train tunnel and factory.

Lampegan station is a small station located at an altitude of about 439 meters above sea level. Historically, the area around the station was a producer of plantations and spices. These commodities were transported to the capital city of jakarta via Lampegan station and then to the Netherlands By ship.
Not far from the station, a railway tunnel was built 1879 and completed around 1882. Lampegan railway tunnel, originally 686 meters long, now the tunnel is 450 meters long, because the tunnel was hit by a landslide.

I tried to enter the tunnel, at that time, tunnel construction technology still used simple tools and human power. From the Lampegan railway tunnel, I walked to the Harjasari Gunung Kencana tea factory. The road was still Rocky.

The Harjasari Gunung Kencana tea factory is still in production. The original building of the tea factory, located at the back, is no longer used, the building is abandoned. This tea factory was built during the Dutch East Indies era.

Thank you and happy days.
