Kalimantan pavilion, such as West Kalimantan, North Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, and East Kalimantan. Display replicas of traditional houses that are beautiful in terms of architecture but also have philosophical meaning about the lives of the people.

Traditional houses in Kalimantan are generally raised off the ground, knows as still houses. These houses are built on stilts, ranging in height from 2 to 4 meters. Their purpose is to prevent flooding.

The building are elongated and can accommodate many families. The building material used is Ulin wood, a high-quality wood that is resistant to termites. The relatively large island of Kalimantan is home to various indigenous tribe, grounped together and known as the Dayak.

The Kalimantan pavilion at Taman Mini Indonesia ( Indonesian miniature park) features several replicas of traditional buildings with different names for each Province.

Such as the West Kalimantan Provincial pavilion. The traditional Betang house, or Dayak longhouse and a replica of sultanate's palace. The traditional houses of East Kalimantan is called the Lamin house. This is the common name for Dayak clan.

A Lamin can accommodate between 10 and 30 families and the building can be 100 to 150 meters long. The layout of a Lamin house is usually divided into two or three sections, running lengthwise. A veranda is used for gatherings and ceremonies and a row of rooms for the family.

Each with it's own kitchen, behind these rooms, there is a rear veranda with it's own staircase. There is only one front staircase. In Lamin buildings, there are usually carving that are very typical of the Dayak style. Where animals such as crocodiles, tigers, bird, fish and others are a source of inspiration.

In south Kalimantan, traditional houses such as the Banjar traditional house have shield-shaped roofs with steep pitches to allow tainwater to drain quiqky. The gajah menyusu traditional house resembles and elephant's horn. The ornaments used are plant motifs.

Kalau bentuk atap sama pelana curam kemiringannya agar air hujan cepat turun. Maaf apabila salah. Terimakasih. Salam.
