Other effects of the cryptocurrency crash - Otros efectos de la caída de las criptomonedas

For several months now I have read and written posts about the losses that cryptocurrency holders and investors have had, however, they are not (or we are) the only ones affected, of course, the entire crypto industry has been hit hard and few are They have realized that many employees have been fired and many others have had to negotiate a reduction in their salaries.
Companies dedicated to cryptocurrencies have emerged in recent years around the world, projects of all kinds from exchange houses, through the DeFi and DAO explosion, payment wallets, and even several others that tangentially touch the crypto issue, mainly for the use of the blockchain for a large number of industries and services.
Everyone to a greater or lesser extent is suffering from the collapse in the price of crypto assets and behind them, the employees are the first to pay the consequences.
The Gemini debacle is well known, but also in recent days I have learned that Coinbase has laid off almost 2,000 employees from its workforce, representing nearly a third of its staff. To mention another case such as Buenbit, a company that touches us closely because it was created here in my country and is dedicated to financial solutions and cryptocurrency exchange, has laid off more than 40% of its staff. Although it does not have a staff large, the percentage is alarming. As well as those, I could mention many other examples of companies in the sector that have made the decision to lay off staff, to show that “one button is enough” my grandmother would say.
The global economic and financial landscape has changed dramatically in recent times, the consequences of the pandemic, the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the fuel crisis, and the high inflation that is already hitting hard in the United States and Europe are some of the components more explosives from that mixture.
Cryptocurrencies are no strangers to the ups and downs of the market, after all, it is people who suffer, are afraid, and try to preserve themselves. Investments are just a reflection of all that.
But since “there is no evil that lasts 100 years, nor a body that can resist it”, sooner or later all this will be a bad memory and I am sure that everything will bloom again, as with the arrival of spring.

You mean the near universal shutdowns of economic activity. I contend it has nothing to do with the "pandemic."
All cause deaths cannot be dialed up with testing thresholds. It's golden data. So when you want to separate the all cause deaths from the deaths caused by people being forced not to work and loss of income. You look at the Swedish stats. People there were never forced to stay home. In that country, the 2020 year had one of the highest rates of deaths in the decade but it wasn't unprecedented even for the previous decade.
I believe that the pandemic influenced several of the imbalances in the global economy, the closure of economic activity, of course, has an influence, but also the amount of money that the states irresponsibly issued. Deaths from the pandemic are of course to be considered, although there are other preventable causes that cause as many or more deaths than covid-19.
Thank you for your comments and observations!

Hola @hosgug !
