Growing industry - Industria en crecimiento
My country is going through a new crisis, that is not new. Except for short periods of time where favorable situations were taken advantage of in the price of agricultural commodities, we have not had greater opportunities for strong economic growth due to the lack of strategies and a consistent plan to develop those sectors where we can have a good competitive advantage, such as for example gas, biofuels, lithium, processed foods and several other areas where we can excel with some effort and imagination.
Since 2017 the country has not grown consistently, except perhaps for 2021 where the end of the pandemic caused an illusion of growth that quickly returned to normal, of course, it had stopped the entire previous year so anything that resumed would generate that effect.
However, if there was a sector that did grow a lot in these five years and it is that of companies dedicated to technological finance. In that same five-year period where we regressed in almost every economic indicator, where industries were closed and genuine jobs were lost, these companies have doubled, many of them have even obtained financing and foreign partners and have expanded to the rest of the world. with excellent prospects for the future.
The current economic emergency situation that we are experiencing of course collaborates with this phenomenon, for example, it has caused the country's inhabitants to enter the world of cryptocurrencies en masse, the week before when the resignation of the economy minister was known, the purchase of stablecoins broke all existing records up to the present.
An industry without chimneys, some economists would say, is a very active production with excellent possibilities for expansion with the potential to achieve something essential for the nation at this time: genuine income motivated and sustained only by the talent of the people.
In an event promoted by one of the most important and prestigious exchanges in the country, it has been mentioned that Argentina could become the capital of the cryptographic ecosystem.
It is not lost on anyone that the sector is in a difficult period, but we are all betting that its potential will definitely prevail and it will make the great leap that we expect.
In any case, we have a great opportunity to stand out in this industry, to create jobs, and to offer essential services for people, I hope we don't waste it.
Mi país atraviesa una nueva crisis, eso no es nuevo. Salvo cortos períodos de tiempo donde se usufructuaron situaciones favorables en el precio de los commodities agrícolas, no hemos tenido mayores oportunidades de un fuerte crecimiento económico debido a la falta de estrategias y un plan consistente para desarrollar aquellos sectores donde podemos tener una buena ventaja competitiva como por ejemplo el gas, los biocombustibles, el litio, los alimentos procesados y varias otras áreas en las que podemos destacar con algo de esfuerzo e imaginación.
Desde 2017 el país no crece consistentemente, a excepción quizás del 2021 donde la salida de la pandemia provocó una ilusión de crecimiento que rápidamente volvió a la normalidad, por supuesto de se había parado todo el año anterior por lo que cualquier cosa que se retomara generaría ese efecto.
Sin embargo, si hubo un sector que si creció mucho en estos cinco años y es el de las empresas dedicadas a las finanzas tecnológicas. En ese mismo período de cinco años donde retrocedimos en casi todos los indicadores económicos, donde se cerraron industrias y se perdieron empleos genuinos, estas empresas se duplicaron, muchas de ellas incluso han logrado financiamiento y socios extranjeros y se han expandido hacia el resto del mundo con excelentes perspectivas a futuro.
La actual situación de emergencia económica que vivimos por supuesto colabora con este fenómeno, por ejemplo, ha provocado que los habitantes del país ingresaran masivamente al mundo de las criptomonedas, la semana anterior cuando se conoció la renuncia del ministro de economía, la compra de stablecoins batió todos los récords existentes hasta el presente.
Una industria sin chimeneas dirían algunos economistas, una producción muy activa y con excelentes posibilidades de expansión con el potencial de lograr algo imprescindible para la nación en estos momentos: ingresos genuinos, motivado y sostenido solo por el talento de las personas.
En un evento propiciado por uno de los exchanges más importantes y prestigiosos del país se ha llegado a mencionar que la Argentina podría convertirse en una capital del ecosistema criptográfico.
No escapa a nadie que el sector está en un período difícil, pero todos apostamos a que su potencial definitivamente prevalecerá y dará el gran salto que esperamos.
Como sea, tenemos una gran oportunidad de sobresalir en esta industria, de crear empleo y ofrecer servicios esenciales para las personas, ojalá no la desaprovechemos.
