Wednesday walk between the flowers.

This walk was in the middle of September. This is the time of the year, spring, early summer when the flowers bloom.

We went with our local conservancy group to go see the wildflowers in the nearby Umtamvuna Nature Reserve. This reserve is in Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa.

It was a lovely day and there was such a lot of different species of flowers.

We had a tour guide, that gave us the names of the different flowers. There was mostly 2 types of flowers, most were family of the Daisy family and the others were family of the Orchids.

The flowers were just amazing, some so small and delicate but so perfect.

There were flowers as far as you could see and it really was a sight.

What made it more special was that my 80 year old Dad walked with us after he just recovered from Covid19.

He was enjoying the diversity with us.

I was getting behind the group as I wanted to photograph each new flower I saw.

Here and there, there was plants that were family of succulents but not much.

It was difficult to pass by the flowers and I just keep on snapping.

It was time to go home and hubby and I decided we also want a pic of us in the flowers.

This is the stuff that memories is made off, so a last pic of my Dad and Hubby with the stunning nature of the reserve as backdrop.

I love seeing all the South African plant life and sunshine, especially in December while it's so cold here!

Thank you for reading @ironshield. Yes, we are very lucky. It's a sub-tropical region. It don't really get cold in winter. At the moment we are in mid summer and the heat is also not that bad for although sometimes it's a bit uncomfortable as the humidity is high.

So glad to hear that you dad recovered from Covid!

And there would be nothing better for his mental and physical health than getting out in the fresh air amongst all of Mother Earth greatest gifts, like those beautiful flowers!

Having an ailing 86yr old dad who lives in the next state, there is nothing more important than relishing those simple times with them is there.

Thank you so much for reading and commenting. Sorry to hear about your Dad.
My Dad was 3 weeks in hospital and 4 weeks in a rehab facility he was very weak and cognitively impaired. But today he is fully recovered. Yes, much to be thankful for.
