Home Education Curation Collection. 3rd December 2023

Wow, it's December already and the end of the year is fast approaching. I enjoyed going through this week's submissions to the community as they reminded me of the broad spectrum that is homeschooling and how we as parents also need to learn and adjust with our growing children.

First our usual thank you everyone who makes this community what it is. This week 5% beneficiaries for interaction and contribution to the HomeEdders community go to:

My first reminder that we as homeschooling parents are very much learning ourselves was from @romeskie, who attended a Pagninilay homeschooling retreat recently. This learning and relaxing experience was for the parents rather than the children and I think Romeskie was able to discover something about herself here.

Something that has to be learnt at home is how to keep yourself and home orderly. Children are generally not the cleanest and tidiest and are not naturally inclined towards being organised, so it's something that has to be taught. Indeed even as adults we are often still trying to learn how to keep in top of this task. @leomarylm offers some great tips on how to foster this in your children and maybe yourself too. 😉

Next up we have a couple of ways you can use one topic to cover a range of subjects. First @missdeli brings us an autumn acorn theme with lots of different activities to help advance knowledge and proficiency in science, literacy, maths, art and fine motor skills. Did I miss any other subjects it covered? 🤔

Then @nanyuris brings us activities based around national identity, focused around maps of the country.

As it's December and Christmas is nearly upon us, I'll finish up with this lovely Christmas game idea from @emmaris.

Thank you for joining us. This curation was brought to you by @minismallholding and this week I have added @ as 10% beneficiary for the ongoing delegation support. Thank you!
