There was such a wonderful variety of posts in the community this week, it was hard to choose which ones to share! So this week I'm bringing an eclectic mix, which reminds me of how I used to homeschool my own girls.

First our usual thank you everyone who makes this community what it is. This week 5% beneficiaries for interaction and contribution to the HomeEdders community go to:

@virgilio07
@afterglow
@eumelysm
@missdeli

@arrliinn's students have been learning about electricity with some hands on experience. They have been doing a few experiments with electricity and this time set up a parallel circuit for lights.

@amandaj has a few letter recognition ideas and games for early learners. They incorporate a variety of methods including matching them to common words that children are likely to come across.

@leomarylm invites us to play describe. She demonstrates a selection of activities to improve cognitive processes through speech and writing, giving opportunities to expand on vocabulary and communication skills.

Join @romeskie for the story of Mr Sun! I thought this was a very clever approach to teaching her daughter a bit about the sun in a way that is suitable for her age. A throwback to traditional teaching methods which have helped people remember and learn for thousands of years; stories.

I've been enjoying seeing @eumelysm's activities with her son who has a neurological problem and therefore his learning process is slowed. She shows some wonderful hands on methods to help him improve, which could actually be applied to any child at this cognitive stage, regardless of their age. This week she shared a couple of activities, but I'll highlight the most recent one on vowel recognition.

A big thanks to the community for all they do in supporting one another and extra thanks to @missdeli for her help curating and voting. Even @romeskie had been helping to get posts to the big curators. So thank you again, it means a lot to me.

Thank you for your help along the way! Couldn't help you unless you helped me so for that I'm very grateful! Also, WE, in the name of all members of this whole community,we THANK YOU for your great efforts of keeping things going. IF it wasn't for u, none of us would be here. And I know time is valuable and it's not that easy to have a community and take care of. I can imagine just how much time you have put to this! 😇🤗
