Home Education Curation Collection. 13th February 2022
Happy weekend everyone! It's been a busy week for me, so it's lovely to connect with what everyone has been up to. It looks like we've got some budding cooks, little scientists and talented artists. Sadly I couldn't share every post, so I hope you'll take a look in the community to enjoy them all.
First our usual thank you everyone who makes this community what it is. This week 5% beneficiaries for interaction and contribution to the HomeEdders community go to:
• @arrliinn
• @afterglow
• @emiliomoron
• @tomaspalomo
I recall when we first encountered the greater and less than symbols in maths and how confused I was by them. I wish I'd had someone like @emiliomoron around to demonstrate these symbols in such an easy to grasp visual way.
January saw lots of activities in @ryivhnn's homeschool, from excursions to cooking, creating, volunteer work and more. It's always fun to catch up with what's been happening with other families and get ideas for your own activities.
This week we've got more nature science coming from @arrliinn's learners as they get close up with leaves. They really delved into the life of plants and even got them under the microscope.
@mildredwg shares a couple of games we can create at home to help our little ones develop their fine motor skills. What child doesn't love the opportunity to use scissors and paint?! Perhaps if I'd employed these activities when my girls were younger I wouldn't have found scissor cuts in things that shouldn't have had them. 😅
Something I've been coming across in the HomeEdders community is games which match word sounds or syllables to help children with writing and speech. It's not something I've encountered with learning to write and speak the English language (likely because our spellings for the same sounds can vary too much), so I've been finding it interesting to see how it's used in other languages. This week @taliakerch showed some syllable cards she made as a matching game for her son.
Thank you for joining us. This curation was brought to you by @minismallholding and this week I have added @justinparke as 10% beneficiary for the ongoing delegation support. Thank you!

Hi friends, thanks for the support and the mention of my post, it is a pleasure to share our learning strategies with the community. Regards!
Tried to take a quick look to all entries! I love that I can always find useful informations I can use in our own homeschooling journey!
I think that's the biggest highlights of the community, the sharing of ideas and information.
