Ruin. A series of photographs featuring Holly

avatar

Another image series with Holly, shot on the same day as the starry night scene. These were shot around sunset, and lit with a Godox AD200 - in a large soft box. We focused on expression, posing, and some movement to bring together a series of images that I can only describe as "ruin"

These are the sorts of images that I think can speak for themselves, and form a narrative independent of me imposing a story upon them.

If you'd like to have a go telling a story with your thoughts about these images, I'd be more than glad to take your interpretations.

The underlying story is just one word. Ruin. Make of that what you wil.

My two favourite images are the last two. I feel as though they're the most emotive and powerful.

Photographs were taken in the surrounds of Adelaide, South Australia, in a small country town, off a dirt road where I don't think I can find my way back there even if I wanted to try to find it (and why wouldn't I, it is a gorgeous location)

The first dress confused the hell out of me because it both really stood out in contrast to the background while working perfectly with it XD

Monochromatic. An experiment in colour theory. :)
