Ocean Lovers Challenge Week #2
Week 2 🐙 What is your favorite sea creature and why? Or, describe an amazing encounter with a sea creature (even if it's not your favorite!) .

Without a doubt, there are some amazing sea creatures, but nothing compares to fish. For islanders like myself, fish are our main source of food and a significant part of our diet. We have a wide variety of fish that we can enjoy almost daily, and they're incredibly fresh, straight from the sea—boat to the beach.

One activity I definitely wouldn't want to do or learn is fishing. I see it as too strenuous for me, and not just because of getting up early and setting sail to venture into the unknown—because every day is a different story. Besides, the ocean can surprise you, and you always have to be alert to any eventuality that might arise, since it's just them against its immensity. Many have been lost in recent years and never found, but the important thing is to appreciate the work they do every day, sometimes regardless of the weather, because they have to bring food home to their families.

As for stories with sea creatures, I don't have much to go on, even though I live on an island, as I mentioned before. Going to the beach isn't one of my favorite activities; I prefer the mountains and agriculture. The only thing I remember was once, many years ago, when I was a child. It was the first time I'd ever seen a very small crab, and I chased it until it burrowed. In my innocence, I wanted to grab it with my hand—big mistake! It grabbed me with one of its claws, which hurt quite a bit. From then on, I never bothered them again.

Oh wow what kind of fish are they? Some of them are huge! I didn't even think of including fish - I do love to eat them though it worries me that we have overfished the oceans! What's your favourite way to eat fish?
