My wife's uncle has already started harvesting the cassava he planted some time ago, and while it's not at its peak, it's still enjoyable

Whenever I can, it's always a pleasure to share with all of you here in the #hivegarden community. I'm sharing some photos I took this afternoon when my wife and I went to visit her uncle before heading home to enjoy the 2026 World Cup final. He has some cassava plants, which I thought still needed some time to mature, but perhaps I was wrong because he's already harvested some cassava sticks to eat in soups and boiled.

Perhaps he does need more time, but he told me they were good, although a bit small. He still has several more to harvest in the coming days (I hope I'm lucky enough to see him do it and share that moment with all the Hivegarden friends). The only thing is that I saw some sticks that had been harvested and left on the ground, and it seemed strange to me that he hadn't replanted them, because that's the main characteristic: to pull them up and then replant them to keep growing.

And well, I was wrong, because just a few meters away I noticed she had already planted some new cassava seedlings. I was confused because I didn't see them where they had been before, but in a different spot. So I initially thought they were there, although she still has a few more holes to dig. Perhaps I'll ask her for some to try planting them here at home, or rather, at my grandmother's house, taking advantage of the fact that it's raining right now, which would make watering them easier and help them grow better.

There are also other plants that were small and hadn't grown much yet, but when I saw them, I thought I should share these photos so you can see how a sweet potato plant grows. Sweet potatoes are undoubtedly excellent for eating healthy, along with cassava and some other vegetables.

Ohoo, having a cassava plant in the garden must be nice. I think to have it in the garden has a lot of perks, and with its color, feels like it can be a vibrant decoration in yard. 🌼🌟
