The digital asset bitcoin was created over a decade ago, and over the it has been able to increase in its value. So what’s really gives bitcoin it’s value? Bitcoin is a decentralized digital asset, which means it is controlled by nobody, not a country issuing or it being own by a group. The project which started has a research as documented has grown over the years to be an entity that is highly sort after.
So what gives this decentralized asset it’s value, Bitcoin values are limited to it’s characteristics. The characteristics which has made up this digital asset or tokens is - it’s limited supply, has registered that the assets has only twenty one million bitcoin that ever existed. Secondly is it’s divisibility, how easy it is to be able to divide just 1bitcoin into a million pieces.
The other two characteristics which put the digital asset bitcoin above the worlds gold is it’s portability nature, that is being able to move the digital asset from one place to another within minutes. And lastly it’s durability, a technology that is built on the internet with computer systems being interconnected with each other. This helps to track ownership of bitcoin distributed within the independent network.
