Stable Coin Tether To Be Pegged To British Pound
The company Tether is looking at extending it’s stable coin franchise to the UK, with all regulations done and checked we will soon be seen the stable token in British Pounds same as the United States dollar. The stable coin which will be pegged to the British pounds will be know for its acronym as GBPT, that will be staked 1-1 with the pound sterling.
In an announcement tweet which says;
“We believe that the United Kingdom is the next frontier for blockchain innovation and the wider implementation of cryptocurrency for financial markets.
Tether is ready and willing to work with UK regulators to make this goal a reality and looks forward to the continued adoption of Tether stablecoins.”
When the GBPT is successful launched it will make it the fifth stable token that has been launched by the company outside the widely known USDT which is pegged to the United States dollars, well there are other stable coins which we need to look out for which is pegged to Chinese yen.
Also don’t forget in contributing to the pHBD-USDC pool, and from statistics it looks like we will be able to archive the set target in a few months, let’s do our own part in growing the pHBD-USDC liquidity.
