Keeping Promises to Children | MCGI Topic Review

image.png

Imagine a world where every promise is a weighty vow, where each word you utter to a child is a commitment as solemn as a covenant with the divine. Brother Eli Soriano, in this video, challenges the conventional wisdom of making promises, especially to the young and impressionable. He proposes a radical yet profoundly simple alternative – the art of surprise.

But why is a surprise better than a promise? The video teases this question, delving into the psychological and emotional impact of promises on children. Brother Soriano weaves a narrative that is not just about the act of promising, but about the deeper implications of our words and actions. He draws parallels between human promises and vows made to God, bringing in biblical reference.

This video is not just a discourse on promises; it's an exploration of hope, expectation, and the delicate balance of joy and disappointment that governs human relationships. It challenges viewers to think about the promises they make and the hopes they kindle. The video teases the mind with questions: What happens when a promise becomes a burden? How does the deferred fulfillment of a promise affect the heart, especially of a child?

"Keeping Promises to Children" is a must-watch for parents, educators, and anyone who interacts with children. It's an invitation to explore a new perspective on an age-old practice, promising to leave you with more questions than answers, and perhaps, a new way of bringing joy into the lives of the little ones around you.

Children look to adults or their parents for literally everything. When you make a promise, you will naturally want to keep it. But why is it that giving a surprise is better than a mere promise? In this biblical topic, Brother Eli Soriano discusses the Bible's answer.

Most of the time, we fail to understand that God is our father and does not always forget to keep to it's promises

As a human we forget our promises with each other but that's not fair that even we forget our promises done with our creator.

Even God frowns at failed promises... It's totally not acceptable... So it's better not to.....and children are very vulnerable esp to what we say to them
