It was an amazing experience to use our Hive to purchase our daily needs like foods and services.
Today, @brianoflondon made a post about Hive Pizza Day, and we learned a lot, especially about how we can use our Hive/HBD on lightning bitcoin payment.
What Bitcoin Pizza Day?
May 22, 2010, was one of the most famous days in the Bitcoin world. It was 12 years ago when Laszlo Hanyecz posted on the forum that he had received the pizzas and enjoyed them with his family.

Today, @theycallmedan and @brianoflondon initiated the Hive Pizza Day from this post. @theycallmedan tweeted that If anyone buys a pizza today using Hive/HBD or Lighting via their Hive account, will get reimburse for the cost.
I really appreciate this move from Dan because it can teach our community the process on how to connect our Hive on lighting Bitcoin payment and we can use this for Hive marketing purposes especially if we can share it on Web 2 like Twitter. We can use the hashtag #HappyBitcoinPizzaDay
Bitrefill is the place where you can use lightning bitcoin payment to be able to purchase a giftcard that you will use to purchase on Pizza or other services like Amazon and many more.
After copying the lightning address from Bitrefill, I just pasted it on https://v4v.app/ and paid it using Hive Keychain on HBD

Unfortunately, here in UAE where we are currently living, Bitrefill website is restricted so I need to connect on VPN just to be able to use this app to be able to purchase some goods and services.
After a few minutes of waiting our Pizza order just arrived and we are pretty excited because for the first time I have used my crypto to purchase food in real life which I have never done before because honestly, I am not a person who loves to sell his own hive
It was so delicious in my taste, maybe not because of the Pizza itself but because it was came from a decentralized blockchain owned protocol like Hive which is close to my heart.
