Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it. - Psalms 34:14
Our Kuya Daniel has shared a good verse that caught my attention regarding seeking and pursuing peace, it wasn't only indicated that we should seek or find peace but it is clear that we should pursue it.
So how we can pursue peace? If we depart from evil and do good. If we are doing evil, we cannot have peace because our conscience will trigger us that we are doing evil. If we are stealing, we cannot find peace in stealing rather than doing a decent job, the worst is we can find ourselves behind bars if we are caught by authority.
I have a favorite movie from 2006 titled The Pursuit of Happyness, the main actor named Chris Gardner (Will Smith) who is struggling in his life together with a toddler child, his wife left him, he was evicted from their house, he was homeless and many stressful things happened to him, yet he continued pursuing happiness.
If we really are pursuing peace, perhaps Chris's life would be a great example of when he is pursuing happiness...
let us pursue peace...
