Saludos cordiales, estimados hivers de la C/ Family Friends, hoy es un día, agradable, me siento feliz de compartir esta magnífica experiencia con mis amistades que viven en la zona rural de Morichal Largo, esta comunidad está ubicada a veinte minutos de Caicara del Orinoco, el fundo se denomina La Felicidad. Desde tempranas horas de la madrugada estoy activado con mi planificación diaria, medito y me sintonizo con la frecuencia de la naturaleza en mi jardín planetario, escucho los pájaros que llegan a mis plantas de anón. Salgo de mi casa a buscar transporte a las seis de la mañana para llegar donde mi amigo Orlando. Llego a su casa, desde allí nos trasladamos en una motocicleta, el paisaje es espectacular, son hermosas sabanas, morichales y corobales del Orinoco medio. Llego al sitio en el sector de Santa Rita, donde nos espera el organizador y dueño del festejo, Vicente Castro, con su esposa Marina, que se refleja en las mejillas, la alegría, cuando me ven llegar con Orlando. Somos recibidos con abundante felicidad,

Warm greetings, dear hivers of C/ Family Friends, today is a nice day, I am happy to share this magnificent experience with my friends who live in the rural area of Morichal Largo, this community is located twenty minutes from Caicara del Orinoco, the farm is called "La Felicidad". From the early hours of the morning, I am activated with my daily planning, I meditate and tune in with the frequency of nature in my planetary garden, I listen to the birds that come to my anon plants. I leave my house at six o'clock in the morning to get to my friend Orlando. I arrive at his house, from there we move on a motorbike, the scenery is spectacular, beautiful savannahs, moriches and corobales of the middle Orinoco. I arrive at the site in the sector of Santa Rita, where the organizer and owner of the celebration, Vicente Castro, is waiting for us with his wife Marina, whose joy is reflected in her cheeks when she sees me arrive with Orlando. We are greeted with abundant happiness; Orlando is Marina's brother.

Vicente se moviliza con su vehículo acompañado de su esposa, su yerna y su nieta. Vamos hasta el lugar donde lo esperan para iniciar la festividad, es una promesa que él realiza, todos los años, para agradecer a santa Rosalía de Palermo por la protección a sus animales. Al llegar a “La Bendición”, él ordena sacrificar una novilla grande y gorda. Se procede a efectuar por un grupo de personas expertas en sacrificios de animales. Vicente “Chente” dirige el descuartizamiento de la res.

Vicente drives his vehicle accompanied by his wife, his daughter-in-law and his granddaughter. Una vez realizada la operación se realiza la selección de las piezas de carne para salarlas y colocarlas en las varas de púas de ramas largas para proceder al efectivo asado de la carne. Es carne asada lo que se va a compartir acá en La Bendición. Alrededor del asadero se congregan hasta los perros de la comunidad. Las mujeres en la cocina se organizan con un caldero para elaborar un caldo de huesos y verdura. Este evento, está planificado para alimentar a un batallón. Además, está en un voluminoso recipiente, una masa de maíz para hacer unas cachapas. Esto, sin lugar a dudas, un significativo evento del sector. A la voz de carne asada se moviliza la familia y las amistades. Pregunto por la gente para consumir toda esa comida. Me responden que no me preocupe que la gente va a venir.

I ask for people to eat all that food. They tell me not to worry, people will come.

Orlando es el asador, él se encarga de asar la carne, que no se queme, porque asar no es quemar. Que cosas todos los días se aprende algo y si es entre familias y amigos reunidos se aprende con un fabuloso sentido de calidad los oficios de las comunidades.

Las condiciones en la cocina, transcurrido el tiempo, ya están dando las órdenes para acercarse con los platos para consumir la sopa de res. Esto es para esperar la carne asada Se sirven a los pequeños, en primer lugar, que se van acercando al caldero. Esto es calientico. A mi sirven un plato que no lo comparo ni con el mejor restaurante de la región. Me siento en la mesa al lado de mi amigo Orlando, que es el asador. Esta sopa supera a todas categorías, el hueso está forrado de carne, tiene un sabor especial, el aliño es orégano, sal y la mano de quien está en el fogón que Marina. Ella parece una hormiga, está activa en el altar de la santa y en la cocina. “Chente” está en el asadero con las carnes mirando a su cuñado Orlando y motivando para que la carne se pueda asar con calidad.

I sit at the table next to my friend Orlando, who is the rotisserie. This soup surpasses all categories, the bone is lined with meat, it has a special flavour, the seasoning is oregano, salt, and the hand of Marina, who is at the cooker. She looks like an ant; she is active on the altar of the saint and in the kitchen. "Chente" is at the barbecue with the meats, watching his brother-in-law Orlando and motivating him so that the meat can be roasted with quality.

Llegan los primeros invitados, que fueron mis alumnos en la secundaria. Son atendidos con especial familiaridad y amistad. Ese es la significación de este evento. Atender a los invitados. Los ojos de “Chente” están como un gavilán pendiente de todo el mínimo detalle. Ya he almorzado y repetí con otro cucharón de caldo en mi plato. Voy a buen paso. Orlando corta un pequeño trozo de carne asada del asador para verificar como esta situación comestible. Él corta y me da, continua mi masticación en esta fiesta. Llega Vicente con su esposa Mora y sus hijos. Se incorpora al proceso de colaborar con su tío Orlando en el asado de la carne. Él está pendiente de darle vuelta y bajar la intensidad del fuego en el asador para que no se queme la carne.

Estoy en las tres de la tarde y todo el patio está repleto de la comunidad de Morichal Largo. Acá toda esta gente es familia. El que no es primo es tía. Él, que no es tío, es hermana, es mamá, es papá. Todos son familia. La familia está integrada en este festejo. Sacan las botellas y se comparten los tragos secos. Yo recibo el primer bocado fulgurante en mi estómago, quedo sin respiración, por lo caliente. Esto es como si se clavara un tubo en mi estómago. Hago una sana y respiro profundamente expulsando fuego por la garganta.

Continúa la fiesta, se convoca a los creyentes a rezar a la santa. La rezandera inicia la ceremonia con un tañido de soprano como que sí está cantando en la ópera Londres. Rezan, al culminar de efectuar la actividad religiosa, "Chente", ordena al asador iniciar el servicio de ofrecer la carne a los invitados. Marina está en la mesa distribuyendo la carne en los platos para los menores y después los adultos.

They pray, and at the end of the religious activity, "Chente" orders the rotisserie to begin the service of offering the meat to the guests. Marina is at the table, distributing the meat on plates for the children and then the adults.

Aprovecho la oportunidad de conversar con mi amigo Vicente “Chente”, con respecto a mí reses que tengo a su cuidado. Es un especial día que disfruto, lo llevo en mi alma al compartir esta celebración de extraordinaria animación y recreación con mis amistades con un gran sentido de unidad donde prevalece la amistad y la familiaridad.

Al siguiente día, en mi casa, prepare los frijoles con los trozos de carne, donde fue invitado mi gato Renato, que tenía días extraviado.
