El domingo pasado mi mamá cumplió años...

Mi madre siempre ha Sido de las personas que no le gusta ni siquiera que la feliciten su cumpleaños, mucho menos que le piquen una torta, pero es increíble lo mucho que ha cambiado desde que mis hijos nacieron, aún no le gusta que le canten el cumpleaños, pero por lo menos acepta que se célebre de otra manera.

Muy temprano la invité a desayunar, solamente ella y yo, hay un sitio en la ciudad dónde vivimos que preparan unas empanadas muy deliciosas y sé, que a ella le gustan mucho, así que aproveche y la lleve a desayunar, ella pidió 2 empanadas, una de jamón con queso y una de carne mechada, de tomar pidió una avena.

Por mi parte, también pedí 2 empanadas, ambas de Cordon Bleu, definitivamente son mis preferidas, y de tomar pedí un papelón con limón, de verdad que estaba exquisito todo.

Una de las cosas que me encantan de este sitio, por supuesto que son las empanadas, pero al entregarlas colocan 2 tipos de salsa para untar que su sabor es indescriptible, una es salsa de ajo y la otra es guasacaca, ambas salsas autóctonas de Venezuela y que raramente pueden faltar en este tipo de comida.

Luego del desayuno, ella se fue para la casa de una amiga y yo me fui para la misa con mi hija mayor, quedando en que íbamos a almorzar juntas, solo que está vez también iban a ir todos mis hijos.

Y así fue, luego de misa llegué a casa, bañe y vesti a los niños y nos dió justo el tiempo para la hora del almuerzo, así que busque a mi mamá en la casa de su amiga, dónde la había dejado y nos fuimos a un restaurante llamado "Pollo Gordo".

Elegí este restaurante, primero porque es icónico en la ciudad, no he conseguido ningún otro con el sabor tan exquisito de este pollo a la brasa, también porque mi hijo Mathias está en una dieta libre de gluten y no debe comer nada de harinas, por último, en este sitio hay un pequeño parque donde los niños disfrutan mientras los adultos conversan.

El almuerzo estuvo divino, pedimos pollo a la brasa, yuca y ensalada, al principio los niños disfrutaron el parque, a la hora de comer se sentaron en la mesa con nosotras y posterior al almuerzo, de nuevo al parque, realmente no se quién disfruto más, si ellos o si mi madre viéndolos a ellos disfrutar.

Le doy gracias a Dios por poder tener a mi mamá conmigo y disfrutar de ella, así como también que ella pueda disfrutar de sus nietos, en esos momentos pienso mucho en mi suegra quien solo conoció a mi hija mayor y en mi suegro que solo pudo disfrutar poco a mis gemelas.

Mi mamá cumplió 63 años, es una mujer activa, que le gusta limpiar hasta más no poder, para ella siempre debe estar todo en su lugar y a su manera, también es una persona Que trata de ayudar a quien lo requiera, pienso que con el hecho de trabajar más de 30 años en el área de salud hizo que se sensibilizar a una más y que ese Don de ayudar creciera día a día.

Solo pido a Dios mucha vida y buena salud para ella, hoy y siempre...

Last Sunday was my mom's birthday....

My mother has always been one of those people who doesn't even like to be congratulated on her birthday, much less to have a cake, but it's amazing how much she has changed since my children were born, she still doesn't like to have her birthday sung to her, but at least she accepts that she celebrates it in a different way.

Very early I invited her to have breakfast, just her and me, there is a place in the city where we live that prepares delicious empanadas and I know she likes them a lot, so I took advantage and took her to have breakfast, she asked for 2 empanadas, one of ham with cheese and one of shredded meat, to drink she asked for an oatmeal.

For my part, I also ordered 2 empanadas, both from Cordon Bleu, they are definitely my favorite, and to drink I ordered a papelón with lemon, everything was really delicious.

One of the things I love about this place, of course are the empanadas, but when they deliver them they put 2 types of sauce to spread that its flavor is indescribable, one is garlic sauce and the other is guasacaca, both native sauces of Venezuela and that can rarely be missing in this type of food.

After breakfast, she went to a friend's house and I went to mass with my oldest daughter, agreeing that we were going to have lunch together, only this time all my children were also going to go.

And so it was, after mass I came home, bathed and dressed the children and gave us just in time for lunch, so I looked for my mom at her friend's house, where I had left her and we went to a restaurant called "Pollo Gordo".

I chose this restaurant, first because it is iconic in the city, I have not found any other with the exquisite taste of this grilled chicken, also because my son Mathias is on a gluten free diet and should not eat any flour, finally, in this place there is a small park where children enjoy while adults talk.

Lunch was divine, we ordered grilled chicken, yucca and salad, at first the children enjoyed the park, at lunch time they sat at the table with us and after lunch, back to the park, I really do not know who enjoyed more, if they or my mother watching them enjoy.

I thank God for being able to have my mother with me and enjoy her, as well as her being able to enjoy her grandchildren, at those moments I think a lot about my mother-in-law who only knew my oldest daughter and my father-in-law who could only enjoy my twins a little.

My mother turned 63 years old, she is an active woman, who likes to clean to the max, for her everything should always be in its place and in its own way, she is also a person who tries to help whoever needs it, I think that by working more than 30 years in the health area she became more sensitive and that this gift of helping grew day by day.

I only ask God for a lot of life and good health for her, today and always....
