En lo que se pudiese definir como el ESPECTRO AUTISTA, cabe esa parte muy acertada de decir que ningun niño que posee está condición es igual a otro, es el caso de mi hijo Mathias cuando le toca cortar su cabello.

En mi experiencia laboral fueron muchas las veces en que los representantes se acercaban a mi para pedirme una estrategia, verbalizando que sus hijos (específicamente los varones) no permitían que lo afeitaran, ellos estaban desesperados, principalmente porque no conocían el motivo específico y en segunda opción porque no les gustaba ver a sus hijos con el cabello largo.

Realmente era todo un reto para ellos como padres llevar a sus hijos a una barbería, más allá de cualquier teoría, que informara acerca de este tema, mis recomendaciones eran, de ser pequeños que lo llevarán a una barbería para niños, dónde hubiesen juguetes para entretener mientras le cortaban el cabello y de ser un poco más grandes, llevarlos a barberías pequeñas, dónde por medio de estrategias de modificación de conductas, entre ellas la de aproximacion sucesiva, pudiesen lograr el objetivo.

La hipersensibilidad de un niño con la condición de Autismo es muy alta, esta se presenta en los sentidos, sin embargo una de las más fuerte es la hipersensibilidad auditiva, tiempo atrás, observando unos vídeos de una neurólogo por mis redes sociales, específicamente de una barbería dónde iba un niño con autismo, me percate que el niño no toleraba el ruido a la máquina de afeitar, pero no solo eso, cuando apagaban esta máquina, sonaba por otra parte el ruido de un secador para cabello, esto irritaba de tal manera al niño que lo alteraba de una manera incontrolable.

Una de las recomendaciones que dió la doctora fue, que no le pasaran la máquina de afeitar a estos niños que presentan está condición, que solo le cortaran el cabello con tijera, de esta manera era menos traumático para ellos, realmente me pareció una muy buena idea.

En el caso de Mathias, mi hijo, la única vez que tuvo problema con el corte de su cabello fue la primera vez, a partir de allí no hubo más miedo, acá es donde corroboro que, a pesar de tener la misma condición, el comportamiento es totalmente diferente.

Aunque no se, si todo se debe a qué, el muchacho que le corta el cabello a mi hijo siempre ha Sido el mismo, aparte de esto, trabaja en su casa, cuando lo atiende no hay nadie más y le habla claro en cada comando: baja la cabeza, no te muevas, ve tus zapatos, etc, no hay ruido, Solo el de uno de los pajaritos que tiene en su casa, eso también ayuda a que no se altere.

Ya tengo casi 4 años cortandole el cabello de esa manera, y hasta los momentos no he tenido problemas, de hecho ni siquiera le presta atención a la maquina de cortar cabello, se la deja pasar como si nada.

Él siempre va con su papá, pero está vez lo lleve yo, tenía tiempo que no se cortaba el cabello, yo le decía que parecía al rey león de lo largo que lo tenía 😅😅😅.

Quedó super guapo, y él feliz de que mamá le diga así 😍

In what could be defined as AUTISTIC SPECTRUM, there is that very accurate part of saying that no child who has this condition is equal to another, is the case of my son Mathias when he has to cut his hair.

In my work experience there were many times when representatives approached me to ask me for a strategy, verbalizing that their children (specifically boys) did not allow them to shave it, they were desperate, mainly because they did not know the specific reason and secondly because they did not like to see their children with long hair.

It was really a challenge for them as parents to take their children to a barbershop, beyond any theory that informed about this topic, my recommendations were, if they were small, to take them to a barbershop for children, where there were toys to entertain them while they cut their hair and if they were a little older, to take them to small barbershops, where through behavior modification strategies, among them the successive approach, they could achieve the objective.

The hypersensitivity of a child with the condition of Autism is very high, this is presented in the senses, however one of the strongest is the auditory hypersensitivity, some time ago, watching some videos of a neurologist by my social networks, specifically of a barbershop where a child with autism went, I noticed that the child could not tolerate the noise of the shaving machine, but not only that, when they turned off this machine, the noise of a hair dryer sounded on the other hand, this irritated the child in such a way that it altered him in an uncontrollable way.

One of the recommendations that the doctor gave was not to use the razor on these children with this condition, but only to cut their hair with scissors, this way it was less traumatic for them, I really thought it was a very good idea.

In the case of Mathias, my son, the only time he had a problem with cutting his hair was the first time, from then on there was no more fear, here is where I corroborate that, despite having the same condition, the behavior is totally different.

Although I don't know if everything is due to what, the boy who cuts my son's hair has always been the same, apart from this, he works at home, when he attends him there is no one else and he speaks clearly in every command: lower your head, don't move, see your shoes, etc, there is no noise, only the noise of one of the little birds he has at home, this also helps him not to get upset.

I've been cutting his hair that way for almost 4 years now, and so far I haven't had any problems, in fact he doesn't even pay attention to the hair clipper, he lets it go by as if nothing happened.

He always goes with his dad, but this time I took him, he hadn't had his hair cut in a while, I told him he looked like the lion king because of how long he had it 😅😅😅😅.

He looked super handsome, and he was happy to have mom call him that 😍.
