¿Quiénes son la Sonora Dinamita?

La Sonora Dinamita es un grupo musical colombiano y mexicano que toca cumbia, un género de música tropical de Colombia pero popular en toda América Latina. Como uno de los primeros grupos de cumbia en alcanzar el éxito internacional, se le atribuye haber ayudado a popularizar el género en América Latina y el mundo.

Se fundó en 1960, en Medellín, Colombia, por iniciativa de Antonio Fuentes (dueño de la casa disquera Discos Fuentes), con la voz del fallecido cantante, naturalizado mexicano Lucho Argain. En la actualidad han vendido entre 45 y 50 millones de copias en todo el mundo. Fruko y Geber Castañeda.

Who are the Sonora Dynamite?

La Sonora Dinamita is a Colombian and Mexican musical group that plays cumbia, a genre of tropical music from Colombia but popular throughout Latin America. As one of the first cumbia groups to achieve international success, they are credited with helping to popularize the genre in Latin America and the world.

It was founded in 1960, in Medellín, Colombia, at the initiative of Antonio Fuentes (owner of the record label Discos Fuentes), with the voice of the late singer, naturalized Mexican Lucho Argain. Currently they have sold between 45 and 50 million copies worldwide. Fruko and Geber Castañeda.
